Stopped there on way to Holyhead so on a bit of a deadline. Despite being only fairly busy we had to wait for a fair bit to order & get our food. That kinda meant I couldn't relax & had to shove the good into me.
When it did arrive it was ok not amazing.

Thank Siobhan M

This was a new find for us and we found it purely by fluke. We ate on the Friday evening and the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere.
Four of us ate and we all ordered something different. Everything was cooked well and did not disappoint. Staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing.
We enjoyed it so much that we booked for the following evening. The manager told us that they were very busy but he managed to fit us in. Sadly the second night was a disappointment. The manager would have been better advised if he had politely declined our booking as the restaurant seemed unable to cope with the number of diners. Our table was booked for 8.15. We arrived 5 minutes early but were seated immediately. Unfortunately it was 50 minutes before our first course was served, and a further 30 minutes for our main course. Although in the main the food was still of a good standard the devilled sardines were a disaster. The wine list is short but we had 2 different whites and 2 different reds and they were all delightful.
The staff, again, were attentive and very apologetic for the delays, although a busy Saturday night is not an ideal time to train new waiting staff as one of the girls seemed out of her depth and several requests were either forgotten or ignored.
However the evening on the whole was a success and when we mentioned our concerns to the manager he did apologise and I think he realised that they had overstretched themselves. These are minor problems which can easily be resolved and we shall certainly return when we next visit Anglesey.

Excellent light lunch, I just had Welsh rarebit and a beer but it was so very tasty with amazing views across the Meni strait, it was so chilled out and tranquil.

Really excellent lunch. May have had better fish and chips, just can't remember when.
Couple this with warm and cozy atmosphere and a scenic sea view and you have the perfect combination. Incidentally the hot chocolate is also first class. Will definitely be back.
