Delighted we read the reviews on the dogfriendly website & tried this bistro. Service was attentive, polite & thorough. The food was to die for-starters we had scallops & lamb kofta & both were scrumptious. We ordered fish and chips & steak & ale pie for our mains, & both were delicious. You can definitely see why the fish & chips are described as the best in the area! The portion sizes were very generous, but, because the food was so tasty, we had to try the desserts, & weren't disappointed! Would definitely recommend this bistro to anyone who enjoys food & a good night out, especially with their 4 legged friend.

good food, pleasant staff. if you want to sit outside and look at the waterfront and mountains all the chairs have rugs to keep you warm, a great idea. We had the table by the window inside, lovely!

I haven't enjoyed fish and chips so much for a long time. Although my husband had a lovely steak and ale pie, we had to go back so that he could try the fish and chips for himself - he was not disappointed and my dressed crab salad was lovely too. Even though the place was very busy, the staff were cheerful and totally unflustered and, as far as we could see, nobody was left waiting around for food that was clearly cooked to order and perfectly cooked at that. Definitely worth a visit.

Picked here based on proximity to car, was on verge of turning round as we entered. There was building work going on in the road outside so the door was splattered with mud... Strong smell of cleaning supplies as we entered... Then we turned the corner!!

We had no reservation for our party of six but tables were quickly rearranged by a gentleman who appeared to be in charge... Although directed to the specials board and being informed of a few items that were not available (seafood items) we nearly all decided on the haddock and chips with crushed peas (based on the appearance as it passed us by being served to other people).

Restaurant had only a few tables, but probably the best view available across the straits... Decor was in keeping with the seaside / fish theme and was smart, clean, and well maintained.

The gentleman in charge was assisted by a younger lady waitress who was very attentive and helpful, even provided activities for the children (6 and 3).

The food was probably the best haddock and chips I have eaten (with gin and tonic batter).

Fantastic meal, would revisit for a more intimate meal in the future without the children so we can take time and relax
