We live locally and wanted to try somewhere new and I'm so pleased we chose this fantastic place! The menu had a variety of food from salads to steaks, to pizzas and classics! However I didn't fancy anything heavy and asked if it was possible just to have a ham salad without the cheese and coleslaw it originally came with. They said it was no problem and asked if I wanted any fruit in my salad! It sounded lovely. When the food arrived it was presented beautifully and served with a smile. It was delicious! Other members of the family enjoyed a steak "cooked perfectly" and a classic scampi and chips. For dessert we enjoyed apple and blackberry crumble which was lovely! We will definitely be returning due to the great food and lovely service, brilliant place.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback on your visit, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your time with us . We are always willing to deviate from our written menu if we can, thats the beauty of serving homemade food from scratch.
Thank you very much and really look forward to seeing you again.

We visit on a regular basis when visiting family. The steaks are lovely quality and fantastic value. Everything is cooked fresh to order even on curry nights.... definitely no ping ding food here! This pub does exactly what 'it says on the tin'... friendly, local, family run pub! Friendly dogs are welcome and it's lovely that the owners make them part of your time there..I think the score/comment re' the dog incident is harsh.... surely that's a reflection of bad ownership on the part of the dog owner who didn't have their collie on a lead not the pub owners?? It's a place to go for good value home cooked food ...give it a go!

Been here about 6 times now when I get the chance to escape from work , it's always a great welcome and the food is brilliant , very good value for the plate full you get , you should try the fish n chips especially on a Tuesday when it's only a fiver , and the cheese cake is amazing , it's nice to wander round Beaumaris then drive to llanddona for tea ...

In contrast to the recent post I also completed a decent walk and had my 8month old daughter, 3 year old son and our pup 'Sami'. We were welcomed in and enjoyed superb fish and chips. A great end to the day, particularly as the weather had been changeable. I was particularly impressed with the friendliness of the local clientele and the bar staff (who made my young son a chocolate milkshake - even though it wasn't on the menu!)

We enjoyed a wonderful walk in the Llanddona area following a route in a book of circular coastal walks in anglesey yesterday. The fact that a pub was within 100 yards of the finish line was of some importance when deciding which route we would be doing - after 6 1/2 miles over quite hilly country we were in dire need of some liquid refreshment! As we had our cockapoo pup with us we went straight to the beer garden before entering the pub: just as we reached it a border collie came out of the back door of the pub and went straight for Maisy. She was grabbed by the hind leg and shaken before we could pull her away by the lead and shoo the collie away. Not only was our dog injured but we were all quite shaken. If we had had our two daughters (14 and 8) with us I believe they would have been quite traumatised. This pub advertises itself as dog friendly - after our experience I would implore you to stay away if you are a dog owner!!
