We have been back to Victoria Cottage a few times now and always receive a warm and friendly welcome from Geoff and Carole, even though on one visit I was carrying too much and fell on the stairs almost demolishing a treasured glass cabinet !! The breakfast is of a legendary standard with a fabulous fresh fruit salad to start, and very tasty jams. Planning to be there gain this weekend for the Fireworks on the beach, and was here at the same time 2011 when the weather was fantastic !!

We stayed in June , weather was awful. We booked ourselves and our 4 children for 2 nights . We are always a bit apprehesive when booking with 4 children aged 1 to 13 , as i am sure Carol and jeff were when I called to book. However they could not have been more welcoming from the first call to saying our goodbyes. Their home is lovely, we stayed on the top floor , it's spacious ,clean and the kids loved it. We were served a wonderful breakfast, more than enough to eat, especially loved their own homemade marmalade. Carol and jeff were wonderful throughout our stay especially with the children , our baby was poorly on the second day but nothing was any trouble for carol and jeff.
The weather was terrible but Beaumaris is lovely, our stay was made a great one thanks carol and jeff x

This really is a gem. The hosts were so friendly and very welcoming, our room on the first floor was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and a good shower in the ensuite. Breakfast was exceptional, especially for vegetarians. Ideal location, right by the sea front in the centre of town. There were lots of thoughtful touches too, like fresh milk and a tea pot on the tea tray, good and honest recommendations for thing to do and places to eat, and a post card from the owners on the doorstep when we got home saying thank you for staying. It's obvious that they really care about their guests having a nice stay. Will definitely be back!

I booked my son & partner into the Victoria Cottage B&B, the accommodation looked very comfortable but Geoff & Carole made it very clear from our arrival that small children were not welcome even after I had informed them by e-mail of their ages, so if you have small children give this one a miss.

Room Tip: We stayed at the Bulls head Beaumaris & found this excellent

We love having children to stay with us, we do ask people to consider other guests when they bring children. In this instance we had to ask the family to leave as twice their 4 year old went missing without their knowledge, the second time we found him in another guests' bathroom on the floor below, where there is a low window seat which he could have fallen out of.

All of the other reviews are complementary so I will keep this one short in regards to the B&B: it is lovely and recommended. We stayed in the Ashurst Suite as a family of four and appreciated the warmth and care that Carole and Geoff showed to ourselves and our children. The little extras made a real difference: DVDs, decent biscuits, cake, a selection of hot drinks and dressing gowns. As for Beaumaris there are quite a few things to do but a little insider knowledge might help. Both the castle and the gaol are worth a visit; there is also a small courthouse museum at the end of the high street which we didn't get chance to explore. The Neptune fish and chip shop is good and you can sit in just for take away if the weather is bad. As for the highlight of the trip it was catching crabs on the pier. There are a few tips, however, which would have made the whole thing easier: go for a line with a net as otherwise the crabs fall off the bait, weight your net with a large stone, use the tap on the pier to fill your bucket otherwise you won't be able to see the crabs you've caught, beware the seagulls when you put them back or they could end up being seagull dinner.

Room Tip: The Ashurst suite is worth it if you want extra space, (if you are travelling with family) but by th...

We stayed with Carole and Jeff for two nights over the Bank Holiday weekend, staying in the Victoria room. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with plentiful brewing up equipment and a welcome slice of home made fruit cake. Breakfast had lovely cereal selection with fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Jeff and Carole are lovely hosts, but the star attraction was Georgie. A really wonderful stay!

Great location with parking and the castle nearby. Carole and Jeff are delightful and welcoming hosts. Room was comfortable, well appointed and had a good ensuite shower. Breakfast was very tasty. Would definitely recommend Victoria Cottage for anyone wanting to visit Beaumaris.
