We had a Sunday carvery meal at this hotel and found the food to be ok, very good for the price. All the staff were extremely friendly especially catering for us with 4 children. Good value for money and child friendly.

We stayed at the Liverpool Arms for two nights, on the outside it's a beautiful historical building, and the pub itself is full of atmosphere; a nautical theme running throughout. The room that we stayed in however, was in need of renovation; the bathroom was carpeted - threadbare in parts and looked like it had seen better days. The paintwork was worn and chipped in parts, and the room itself was in need of a good clean.

The service however we found to be very good, and the breakfast was excellent. In all, it's worth checking out to sample the atmosphere of a great pub which offers good service, but they need to renovate and up date the rooms.

Room Tip: Standard rooms are more basic, and may not have a good view.

Stayed here last year after checking out of the main hotel - Best Western, as this was awful. Cheap room, get what you pay for. Rooms not the best decor but has everything you need for the price. Breakfast - you have to sit in the pub downstairs but we didn't mind this as breakfast was nice and service was good. Good for an overnight stay in the town. Had a drink in the back with the locals and they were very friendly. Would stay again.

Room Tip: get them to show you a room first

lovely beef stroganoff :) not impressed with the scampi, 8 small pieces. frozen bog standard chips. we told the waitress we would like desserts and she said she would bring some menus but she went back to the bar area to do some paperwork. we waited for almost 20 minutes but didn't get a menu so we decided to pay and leave. we then waited at the bar for around 5 minutes before a barman came to take our payment and the only reason he came then was because another customer knocked on a "private" door leading from the bar, he was trying to get their attention as he wanted to order another drink. the waitress who was about 5 yards from the bar could see that we were waiting but didn't attempt to come and serve us.

Recently stayed in LLangoed just outside of Beaumaris for a mid week break with my husband and son, had two evening meals at the Liverpool Arms. The food and service were out of this world, my husband had the "Macho Lamb" a feast fit for a king , the shoulder of local welsh lamb filled the plate alone, it was so tender and moist and fell off the bone, it was served with creamy mash, fresh vegetables and minty gravy. My son had the Sirloin steak again cooked to perfection medium / rare, served with home cooked chunky chips, onion rings, tomato and vegetables. They were so impressed and enjoyed the food so much I was persuaded to treat them again on the last night of our holiday, this time they saved themselves all day so they could enjoy a full three course meal, more like a banquet !!!!! Hope to return again soon for more delicious fare.

We had a Sunday lunch carvery here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were particularly impressed with the quality of meat and the amount we got for a very reasonable price. We were a party of 8 so we booked first thing in the morning and our table was ready as soon as we arrived. It is very much a pub setting, but if you want a good Sunday roast at a very reasonably price give this a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
