We have just returned after a night in the hotel for my husbands birthday. Can't wait to go back! Lovely big room with sea view, tea & coffee etc. had a very good meal in the restaurant and drinks outside on the decking. Gill and her staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and the breakfast very good. We live about fifty miles away so intend to visit a lot!

We stayed a night here and loved it. The position is stunning, it's peaceful and Gill is a wonderful host. She is so friendly and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Our room was large and airy and faced the ocean which was a bonus. Very clean. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the conservatory dining area. There was a pleasant convivial atmosphere in the bar/sitting area. Breakfast was massive and delicious. This is a lovely place to stay. Enjoyed our walk along the front.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front if you want to enjoy ocean views.

As many of he other reviewers have observed, the position of this hotel is ideal. We made an off-the-cuff decision to have a Sunday lunch here and it proved to be a masterstroke. Although it was late afternoon when we arrived, the welcome was genuine & warm and, having perused the full menu, decided on the Sunday lunch. The meals arrived promptly and were beautifully cooked and well presented. We settled for a main meal and a dessert each and those, coupled with a pint & a half of larger and two excellent coffees cost just a tad over £28.00 -" back of the net!!!!

We booked the Trecastell Hotel at the last minute as we were unsure about the weather (we were going to go camping) and what a wise choice we made!

The Hotel itself is situated in a stunning location; so tranquil and picturesque.

The new owners, Gill and James, had only taken over the hotel a few days prior to our stay, but what a fabulous 4 night stay we had! Gill, James and all of their staff were so helpful and welcoming that we can't wait to go back!

We have been going to Angelsey 3 or 4 times a year for many years now and we can honestly say that this was by far the most memorable stay we have ever had there, and all the credit goes to Gill, James and all of their staff.

We checked in and James took us up to our room on the third floor (we weren't just given a key and told "it's up there) James even carried our bags to the room for us. The room was lovely with beautiful views of the bay through the two windows. The room was spotless and we knw immediately we had made a good choice.

The service, food and hospitality were wonderful for the entire stay. There are some real characters employed there and this only made us feel more welcome as conversation and atmosphere was so welcome and relaxing.

Gill and James seem determined to revamp every room in the hotel and we feel that our experience of our stay, and the attitude of the owners and staff, have left us wanting more and we can't wait to go back!

Thank you all x

Room Tip: Simply as for a sea view, although most of the rooms have one

My hubby and I have just spent a night at this wonderful hotel. We would recommend to everyone. Although new owners Gill, James and son Paul only took over on Thursday they have made such an impact. So friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a spectacular situation, stunning views of the sea and coastline, so very relaxing. Room was clean, tea/coffee making facilities (with biscuits!!!), comfortable bed and wonderful views of the sea from the room. Lovely evening meal sitting in conservatory overlooking the sea, peaceful night's sleep, and good choice of breakfast. Although we checked out on the Sunday we stopped for the carvery lunch, also recommended. I wish the new owners the best of luck - they have their heart in their new venture and I would recommend anyone to pay them a visit. I have returned feeling very refreshed and relaxed. (PS to golfers - golf club only a short walk away!!).

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view.
