Unfortunately, the day we went it rained all day. Some of the buildings looked a little tired but would undoubtedly have looked better with the sun on them. The architecture is amazing and well worth seeing, even for those, like us, who have never seen The Prisoner. The walk under the trees along the coast offered us some shelter from the weather and, even on a poor weather day, offered lovely views. We ate in the Town Hall Restaurant and the food was good. Everyone we met, at entrance, in shops and restaurant were friendly and helpful.

For £10 to just go into a village on the coast it's a rip off. You can't take dogs in either. The garden/forest trails would make lovely walking with a dog. Really not worth the time or money.

Until recently we have been dog owners, and always holidayed with our dogs, that precluded us from visiting this site. So at last we made it. We certainly were not disappointed. It was great to see the village itself and what an achievement it is. But added to that anyone who was a lover of the television series The Prisoner back in the day, has to go to see this place sometime. They sell some Prisoner related article which are quite nice, but maybe don't make enough of the series overall. It would have been nice to see a small museum dedicated to the program, and maybe video display of the footage. We have come home and ordered the box set, again they could have had that available at the outlets. Some lovely walks, with interesting follies everywhere. Another gem of North Wales. We didn't get to see the gardens created by Clough Williams-Ellis, they are supposed to be very good too. Next time.

Not sure what some of the negative reviews were expecting but as someone who saw the Prisoner first time around we thought the whole place was magical.

Every corner held a delight and the natural scenery was obviously breathtaking. Disneyworld it is not. . . and thank goodness its not supposed to be !!
