Having dined here before we had high hopes. The set menu, although a good price, was too fussy and we had the same menu two nights running. A fellow diner described his meal as inventive and creative which, sums up over fussy and pretty on a plate but hardly a good meal. An extensive and extremely expensive wine list, and as one wine 'snob' (for the want of a better word) could only describe the wine he ordered as 'quaffable'. My first cooked breakfast was dry as if it had been under hot lights for a while, although my husband had no complaints about his. Our second breakfast of smoked haddock and poached egg was delicious and I would highly recommend.
The staff and service though were excellent, attentive and polite.
