The food is excellent and unlike some other brasseries that I have visited, the portions are generous and well worth the money. The service is very good and less formal than the hotel.

Sitting by the big log fire on a January couldn't be a better place to look at the menu for Sunday lunch.
We visited here often and the quality and presentation of food is always of a high standard. This occasion was equally as good. The starters were very big portions which is great if you have a big appetite. Good selection of wine.
Staff here have great customer service. Front of house were a little stretched this time even though it wasn't that busy. No one to greet as we arrived and then we could here them saying we hadn't arrived yet & they were waiting for us. We'd been sat for ten minutes. This isn't typical for here though.

Group of 7 of us ate there including 2 small children. Nice welcoming roaring fire where you could sit on a cosy sofa and enjoy a drink pre/post meal. The restaurant itself was very bright and airy with lots of natural light, even on a day with inclement weather. The menu is not extensive (which does not bother me as I would rather fewer dishes be done well than have a huge menu) and whilst the starters and desserts include some interesting choices, the mains were very traditional pub type offerings eg pie, sausage and mash, fish & chips etc. That said all members of our party were impressed with the quality of all courses. Delicious! Service was impeccable (although there were only 3 tables dining). All in all a great experience.

We have visited Castle Deudraeth many times since it opened, and today we went for lunch, having looked at the menu on line we both had an idea of what we would like. To our surprise we found out that the annual Christmas Lunch was on offer. The choice was excellant and the meals that we ordered were simply devine especially the puddings - Panatone bread and butter was to die for.. well done to you all , £22.50 for 3 courses plus coffee and mince pies, superb.. Compliments to the lady on the piano her selection of music was first clas as always..
We have no connection with Castle Deudraeth although we live in Gwynedd.. 10/10.
