I remember over 60 years ago crossing this toll bridge with my parents, today crossing it I swear the bridge has not changed, just the toll booth collecting you 0.70 pence to cross, what a bargain!
Well worth a crossing just for fun....

Thank Graham A

We were staying in Fairbourne and wanted to get to Barmouth, my partner said we needed to go over this bridge on the way. To be honest I thought he was joking initially as it looks tiny and not up to driving over, but it's sturdier than I first thought! 70p for a car, worth it though, we took some lovely photos from the other side.

We were sneaky and walked over the bridge after its' official closing time. The view from the middle is breathtaking.

Driving out of Dolgellau, i took the long way around to drop our daughter at her Pony trekking and cross the second wooden toll bridge of the holidays and the most spectacular.
Now that the A470 has a large bridge over the river at Dolgellau, its a bit redundant, but makes a nice detour on a holiday and well worth the 70p to cross.
Really friendly woman manning the toll bridge - who knew the owners of the Whitney bridge we'd crossed a couple of days earlier.
A real treat of engineering in a stunning location.

If you get the chance to cross over this amazing bridge then take it. What a view and what a fantastic opportunity to use such an ancient bridge. Well worth 70p!!
