“Glyn Awel”
Reviewed October 30, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The house was lovely, comfortable and spacious enough for our party of eight.

Great to be able to have real fire and a nice big square table to have family meals together.

The house was a great base for reaching all parts of Snodownia.

Recommend Llanberis for:
- the best fried breakfast at Pete's Eat.
- paint your own pottery (a hit with the kids) at Tân y Ddraig, next door to Pete's Eat.
- a few doors up there is a little bakery selling very nice welsh cakes.
- The slate museum (free).
- Electric Mountain which is really interesting piece of engineering.

Betws-y-Coed has a few restaurants (didn't try them) and a sports wear shop actually owned by Sports Direct (bought good value trousers)

Recommend Conwy for the castle and the walled city with tea shops and the smallest house in Great Britain.

Recommend Llandudno for the cable car and afternoon tea at Characters tea shop.

Recommend Corris for Arthur's Labyrinth with sailing on boats inside underground caves.

Didn't have time to go to Bounce Below (Blaenau Ffestiniog) but it sounds great for the kids (despite the price of £20 pp)

“Brutal Events”
Reviewed September 16, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Our family group stayed here whilst two of our party took part in the Llanberis Brutal Iron man event. It took about 20 minutes to drive to Llanberis but at 6 o'clock in the morning the roads were empty. In the evening we supported the cyclists in the double event just outside in the front garden which was exciting for the kids. We also had some really good walks from the house on the Sunday. Just a short drive the other way is Bedgellert which is nice for a visit. The house was warm and comfortable with lots of space in the kitchen for everyone to congregate and eat at the huge table. Plenty of hot water and space on the settees to enjoy the Paralympics in the evening.
Also the steeped garden was interesting for an early evening drink - spectacular views. All in all we'd definitely book again

“40th bike and walking weekend”
Reviewed June 15, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Amazing cottage. Very social, spacious, clean, oversized agreed party with Nia. Built a rapport with Nia without meeting. Very helpful, friendly, accomodating and informative. Highly recommended. So nice to not have tv and limited Internet. Shuts the world out whilst I celebrated my bday with party of cyclists, walkers, eaters and drinkers..... amazing place. Hope to return.

“A lovely spacious house in a perfect position”
Reviewed June 9, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We booked this house for our three generation family. It was particularly suitable as our daughter's wedding was in the Llyn Gwynant barns (less than 2 miles away) in the middle of the week. The large farmhouse kitchen was a great family room. We didn't use the lounge much as the weather was so lovely - the terraced garden was well used. The views are stunning. Different groups went up the mountains, canoed on the lake (where it's possible to get a pizza supper), river strolling - and icecream eating - in Beddgelert, and down to the coast at Criccieth.
If we could have paid a bit extra to have an extra cleaner on departure day we would have. It's quite stressful getting packed up and cleaning a big house by 10am when there are children - but we did manage!
