“A pleasant tea-rooms with very good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2014

The entrance to the upstairs tearooms is through a kitchen/cookery shop. I didn't notice a disabled access. The tearooms are pleasant, we had a window seat overlooking the main shopping street. Service was sharp, it wasn't too busy. We had coffee (which was delicious) and ham and tomato sandwich with garnish and crisps and it was yummy.
Prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly

“Coffee and cake”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014

This is a nice place for coffee and cake, or lunch. Outside area for those sunny days. You go through the Kitchen Shop and up the stairs to get to the cafe. Good selection of home made cakes and lunches.

“Always good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014

The lunch specials are great, filling but not too much, reasonable price and delicious. My only bad comment is that the coffee is a bit small maybe they should have a choice of size.

“Lovely cafe - Hidden Gem (with small room for improvement)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2014 via mobile

Visited here as a one off whilst in Monmouth on a day trip with my mum. We walked in the cafe and was so presently surprised how big the cafe was and very charming! The coffee selection was great!! I ordered a slice of cake which was lovely!! My mum on the other hand ordered the Welsh Rarebit which we were told was homemade but I think had been heated up as it was cold in the middle, when we told the waitress all she did was apologise! Upon leaving we told the other lady on the till who charged us half price for it. There was a great selection on the meals just a shame we were a little unlucky! Loads of potential here!!

“Late lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2014 via mobile

We arrived about 2.30 pm and not much on the menu eats sold out I had a prawn cocktail sand which which really had little flavour to commend it the crisps on the plate had the most flavour . My friend had a baked potato with mushrooms and mozzarella and tomato she said it was without any flavour at all we had tea and coffee which was the best part of lunch pity really as we have been a few times before and it is usually better than today.
