“A game of two halves”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Course in great condition. Lady in pro-shop was very helpful. No starter on duty.
Front nine was a lovely game of golf but back nine was a little samey in my opinion with just a couple of testing par-3 holes.
Clubhouse was a little dead in atmosphere but food (sandwiches) were fresh and ok.
Lovely day and enjoyed the game but at the better part of £50 for a game there are better courses available.

“A touch of class - and friendly with it.”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

The weather meant we were not sure the course would be open but regular updates by the staff meant we always knew the situation. Despite the weather the course was in great shape. Given I have played the course three times now and the quality of service and couse condition cannot be faulted. Very impressive and one which is a must for any passing golfers.

The deals pertaining to meal and a round are very good. The members are freindly and depite the location and historic reputation, you always feel welcome.

The course is fantasic wit great holes and some astoundng views. Challenging but not overly so, caters well for both sexes with a recognised h'cap. You cannot miss this course if you are planning a trip to the area.
