having visited the griffin on previous occasions and never fully satisfied with the meals which we thought were all frozen and microwaved, we decided to try the new owners out on a test drive
well the result was that we had a perfectly enjoyable sunday lunch in nice surroundings and a lovely girl behind the bar who served our drinks and showed us to a table by the log fire, it was too cold to sit outside today but no doubt we will on subsequent visits , we do intend to go back.
it really is a traditional country inn inside and apart from the electrics it whisks you back in time the dining room was a little cold when we first got there but it warmed later as the central heating came through, we had sunday roast i had the pork my partner had the half chicken, the portions were must than enough for either of us but we managed to force a pudding down as well the meal came to £23.90 plus our drinks and there is a good choice of menu and choice of drinks from the bar, we fully intend to revisit we are always looking for somewhere different to eat on sunday lunch times this is about an hour from home its located on the A494 not far from ruthin in a little village called llanbedr dyffryn clwydMore
