“Great Trails and skills park”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

The skills park here is perfect to get your confidence up for the long runs, some confusion on trail directions but some good trails, one of the reds is not for the unfit or fainthearted!

“A Wonderful Visit.”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Coed y Brenin is a large area of forest close to Dolgellau and not far from Barmouth but easily accessed from much of Snowdonia.
Nowadays many of the UK's natural attractions are extremely user friendly and both welcoming and informative, this certainly applies here. The Visitor Centre serves good food and drinks and useful information regarding trails for both cyclists and ramblers throughout the forest, on the trails these are clearly marked.
I walked along the elevated banks of the Mawddach River amidst some fabulous scenery with the waters rushing violently beneath me. Apparently no fish survive in the river due to the deposits from the old gold mine further up.
This is a terrific day out for people of all ages, the fees are for parking only.

“Cycled there from Coed Cae B&B Penmaenpool”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Great ride there from Penmaenpool and return on cycle way 82. Without doubt mainly uphill all the way (Not too bad) BUT nearly downhill coming back. The Forest Park has a selection of rides for all abilities including disabled riders. The visitors centre has cycle hire, playground, cafe and toilets. The cafe is quite expensive but caters for most tastes and catered for our meger needs. Would recommend the ride to the Forest Centre. If you were to fully appreciate all the trails it may be better to drive there to conserve energy.

“Best mountain bike trails in the area”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

I think that Coed y Brenin has the best cross country MTB trails in North Wales. Although some of other individual trails may be better, I think the variety and quality of these trails trump the competition. It is a matter of taste, but I think the Beast is hard to beat.

The trails are well maintained and there are enough trails to keep you occupied for a weekend visit (or multiple visits over the year). Even the blue trail can be good fun to race around for experienced bikers- those sweeping berms are great fun.

There's a decent cafe, showering facilities and a well equipped bike shop with hire bikes too..

“Great Day Out For All”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

We only found this place this week even though it is only an hour away. What is great about it is that it caters for all. Families with little ones like us who can only do the easy walks up to the serious mountain bikers. The only thing I would recommend is that they do allocated parking bays as some people park so badly they take two spaces and leave others going around looking for spaces when if everyone parked correctly there would not be any problems. they also have a great kids play area and a cafe with an amazing view.
