Together with two other walkers stayed three nights in August - chosen because the landlady had a three bedded room available. Price seemed on par with other guest houses in area but believe she is about to put up the price to new guests.
Very welcoming host always ready to serve up tea and bara brith (welsh fruit loaf without fat) when you got back at tea time and generally a very pleasant lady. She has three rooms for guests and photos are available on her website. The bedroom and bathroom were okay The the guest house had a town centre location and all traffic coming over the river bridge had to pass the front of the guest house so some traffic noise may be heard if you sleep with the window open although in reality there isn't that much taffic. A well presented and well cooked substantial breakfast is a treat. This was the first time for me in a b and b but my fellow guests rated it highly. Good location, Good Food, Good Host

This B&B came highly recommended in the Lonely Planet and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The Aber Cottage B&B was a delightful experience and was run by John Hudson who was a very hospitable host.
On arrival late in the afternoon he served us afternoon tea with a delightful Welsh cake, the name of which escapes me, and then he served up some beautiful home made soup. John's knowledge of the local area was wonderful, and he recommended several restaurants for dinner, and we chose the Indian restaurant which was just fabulous. John's hospitality went beyond our expectations, when he very kindly offered to put our washing through the washer and dryer for a nominal fee, as he said the laundromat across the road would be very expensive. The next morning John prepared a wonderful cooked breakfast and then sat with us for some time pointing out the various places of interest further north in Wales, all of which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. We would highly recommend this B&B if you are thinking of travelling to this beautiful part of Wales.
