Stuart, Thiago & Daisy were so welcoming and really made us feel at home. Lovingly restored rooms and en-suites, tastefully decorated & spotlessly clean. Breakfast certainly set us up for the day. Our hosts have given lots of attention to detail to creating a delightful place to stay.

Room Tip: Mum, 2 daughters & god-mother shared the second floor, a twin & double room, both with en-su...

My wife and i had a great weekend, We stayed 2 nights to attend a family wedding, could have stayed much longer to enjoy the surrounding area. There were plenty of pubs bistro's and restaurants to chose from for evening meals and some amazing drives across the hills!. Great hospitality, very comfortable and very clean. 10/10, would definately stay again.

This lovely 200 year old building has been carefully, sympathetically and beautifully restored. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and Stuart and his dad who was helping out for a few days were delightful. So much attention to detail has beeen paid to every area, from period furniture to the rugs and even the silverwear at breakfast. The double room we had was large and spacious and spotlessly clean. Recomendations for restaurants were given and a booking made for us. Nothing was too much trouble. We chose this guest house to spend our 20th wedding anniversary in and we could not have chosen better. Our thanks to Stuart and his family for making this special anniversay one to remember for all the right reasons.

I spent two nights at this lovely B and B and cannot find fault. I stayed in the twin room on the 2nd floor and the room was delightful, although not huge it catered to all of my needs and the spacious bathroom was a treat. The bed was extremely comfortable and the quality of linens didn't go unnoticed. The hosts were very hospitable and directed me to a lovely restaurant for dinner and provided me with a map and recommendations for things to do in the local area. Breakfast was scrumptious with a wide variety of cereals and juices complimented by a tasty cooked to order hot breakfast. I would highly recommend Plas Gwyn and look forward to returning to both Plas Gwyn and Dolgellau in the future.

My mom and I stayed here for one night during a couple of days away. The building was beautiful as well as the Georgian interior! Our room was clean, with comfortable beds and spectacular ensuite bath/shower room. Breakfast was well presented with the choice of cereal and/or full English. Would deffinately stay here again.

We have stopped here twice now and both times it has been exceptional. The owners are great, always having time for a chat whilst still respecting your privacy. The house itself is beautiful and tastefully decorated making it a real pleasure to stay. The gardens which you can sit in are peaceful and most relaxing whilst enjoying an evening listening to the birds. Rooms are delightful complete with all you require including TV and fridge and the finish in the bathroom is of a very high standard. Breakfast is lovely using locally sourced produce and more than sets you up for a day exploring or just relaxing in the stunning country of Wales. The owners defiantly will go the extra mile to make your stay with them rememberable, nothing seems to be a problem to them. My wife and I travelled both times on a motorbike, which can be secured in a outbuilding, and we are both looking forward to our next visit.

It's three years since we visited Dolgellau. The hotel we used to stay at has been getting poor reviews recently so we looked elsewhere. We stayed just one night at Plas Gwyn.

Everything about Plas Gwyn is top notch. The house has been renovated sympathetically. We stayed in "Mr Wynne Williams Room". It was comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was lovely, at a table shared with guests from the other two letting rooms. The WiFi works properly too! There is ample parking, a "must have" in Dolgellau. Plas Gwyn is in a prime location, close to the town centre. Other nice touches include bike storage and a bike workshop.

Our hosts were welcoming and very helpful. They must have researched guests' needs in detail because we couldn't really want for anything more. Brilliant!

And for an evening meal, we'd recommend Y Meirionnydd, just round the corner.
