Just rebooked for 4th visit to this beautiful b&b for Valentine's weekend. Found it by chance few years back , what a find ! Mrs Jones is lovely and makes you feel special and welcome. The room's are well furnished and very clean and for the price!!! . Only negative found the locals in the town a bit hostile in a couple of pub's when asking for recommendations on where to eat! Scenery is fantastic and there,s a pub a short walk down the lane. Looking forward to next visit. WOULD 100% RECOMMEND.

Fantastic authentic historical B&B. Great breakfast (especially museli and fruit; too much for us) Large well equipped room with good bath-shower. Good food recommendations from Olwen. Short drive or bike, but longish walk from town.
Only potential issue would be a few creaky floor boards if in downstairs room like us (although it didn't bother us). We'll be back for more very relaxing accommodation, mountain biking and quality food.
We're not quite sure how anyone in Wales makes a profit?

Located a short drive from town along a narrow, winding road. We stayed at the farmhouse after a heavy snowfall and the view over to the mountain was particularly beautiful. Our room on the ground floor was large, warm and beautifully decorated in a country style. The bathroom was also large and warm and beautifully decorated but lacked a proper shower having instead a hand-held shower wand over the large bathtub. Breakfast was good and included a selection of homemade preserves. Our hostess was very friendly, welcoming and informative. No internet.

We recently had a short break with Olwen and her family. It is lovely so tranquil and a real home from home. The musli we had at breakfast was home made and fab. The breakfast is different every day. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We are intending on returning to this bed and breakfast, and would highly recommend it.

We have returned to this B & B many times over the past few years and always had the best of service. You are welcomed with tea/coffee and home made cake and the large breakfasts are freshly prepared using mainly locally sourced ingredients. Jams, muesli, croissants etc are home made and set you up for the day. The content of the cooked course varies but is always delicious.

We particularly love the bedrooms - they are large and luxurious, and likewise the bathrooms. It is lovely to sit and read in front of the patio or balcony doors as the views are fantastic. You are situated immediately below the summit of Cader.

The quality of the walking is the best - the high level walks are great ( you can walk up Cader Idris from the accomodation) but the lower level walks are no less good. There is endless variety of walking from the doorstep and if you have not been to the area before then Olwen, the owner, is very helpful with suggestions and guide books etc.

The whole area around is completely unspoilt and the nearby estuary deserves its title of world heritage site.

In the evening there are a good number and variety of eating places within a short drive or the nearby pub provides good meals and beer, and you can walk there in 10 minutes.
