agree with previous comments entirely, definitely much better than its 3 star rating, fabulous location overlooking the bay, staff were courteous and very helpful made us very welcome, hotel has been completely updated, rooms are spacious, very clean & lovely bathroom. we stayed in room 27 which had a superb view. Breakfast is cooked to order , the restaurant , lounge and bar are all very welcoming, there are garages at rear for parking as it is a bit tight at the front of the hotel, book a stay you wont be disappointed

Room Tip: Room 27 was excellent

As a rule we never stay anywhere that isn't at least 4 star but took a chance on this hotel. It isn't 5 star but its much better than it's 3 star rating. The location and views are splendid but what makes this special is the welcome coupled with the awesome Welsh breakfast. Enjoy.

Our return visit this year was every bit as enjoyable as the first. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well furnished and the staff cannot be more helpful. A lovely hotel overlooking the sea and we cannot wait to return.

We stayed here after reading the reviews on trip advisor.
We stayed in room 35 on the third floor overlooking the sea.
Their is a lift if you can't make the stairs.
The view was stunning.
The bed was very comfy and the breakfast delicious.
The only bad thing was we had to leave!
We will be back.

Room Tip: All the rooms sea facing are good, We stayed in room 35 on the third floor. Great view of the castle and sea front.

Whilst staying in Criccieth recently, it was our wedding anniversary and we were looking for somewhere a little bit special to have a meal to celebrate. We were not disappointed, we rang to book a table before going to Criccieth and when we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Anwen, who oversees the restaurant. We were taken into the lounge, which overlooks the beautiful vista of the bay and the castle where we had a pre-dinner drink. The whole ambience of the lounge and restaurant was faultless.

We were very impressed with the quality of the food and service of the staff, very attentive without being obtrusive. We had the Sunday set menu with a good selection of starters and mains at a reasonable price. £13.95 for two courses and £17.95 for three courses.

All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel's restaurant.
