“Perfect”
Reviewed May 30, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We have stayed here each year since 2011. It is simply perfect. We have holidayed in North Wales for the past 40years and nowhere has even come close to a Tirwyddan. The house is fantastic, spotlessly clean, very well equipped, the beds are comfy, the views amazing and the kitchen has everything you could need including crockery/cutlery for children. We fell in love with the house the first time we stayed here during a foggy week in February. Perfect.

“Wonderful, relaxing & comfortable house in an amazing location”

We have been staying at this wonderfully comfortable house since our boys were babies. The house is so well equipped with all you can think of and more for a family with children of any age to relax and enjoy. The location is very peaceful with amazing views - my husband and I like having a coffee in bed in the morning whilst admiring the view of Criccieth Castle. We have visited during both the winter and summer months and there are lots of attractions to keep the children entertained all year round and come rain or shine. My boys (now aged 7 & 5yrs) love the Rabbit Farm (which we walk to with a picnic) and Greenwood Forest Park. There are plenty of nice places to eat, although I find that I cook more at Tirwyddan than at home as the kitchen is just fab! The holiday park, a short drive away, is also great as you can pay to use the pool & the slides are great. I can't recommend Criccieth and Tirwyddan enough! We can't wait for our next trip :-)

“Wonderful”
Reviewed July 15, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

A beautiful house which looks as good in real life as the photos on the website! Fantastic modern kitchen with splendid views to criccieth castle and the sea beyond. In fact the Views can be enjoyed from virtually every room in the house. Wonderful bedrooms and 3 showers so no need to queue in the mornings!great outside area for eating in beautifully maintained garden. The house is so quiet and peaceful- all you can hear are the birds and sheep- yet it is only a 5 minute stroll into the picturesque centre of Criccieth village. Very child friendly- our 3 year old loved the toy and DVD selection and the house has everything you need for babies/ kids e.g. Stair gate/highchair / kids plates and cutlery. Would wholeheartedly recommend and look forward to our next visit! P.s. you must visit Cadwaladers ice cream shop- heavenly ice cream with sea views -we even saw dolphins!!!

“The ideal place for a family holiday in beautiful North Wales”
Reviewed August 8, 2011 for a stay in May 2011

We had a fantastic week here with our extended family of three couples and a toddler, everything we would need ( and more ) was provided with comfy beds in large bedrooms and a bathroom for each couple. Phoebe loved the toy cupboard and her mum and dad loved knowing that Tirwyddan was fitted with child safety features such as stairgates and toddler- proof catches on the cupboards.
The weather was the only thing that disappointed, with some days being colder than usual for the time of year. we didn't let it stop us enjoying our holiday with visits to the sea zoo and butterfly farm on Angelsey when the weather was too bad for picnics and sitting on the beach!
It didn't stop the men enjoyed a game of Golf at Criccieth golf club ( just a short walk away ) they just blamed the wild and windy weather for lost balls and poor shots !!
We look forward to staying here again next year if not fully booked!!

“Great place for a family holiday”

We found the house to be wonderfully comfortable and well-equipped. The bed linen, especially, was of the highest quality. There's a great view of the sea and castle. With two small children in our party, there were plenty of places close at hand to take them for entertainment during the day. We highly recommend the house as an ideal place for young and old.
