“Tops - quality throughout, very welcoming and great breakfast”

We had not stayed at the Old Rectory since the change of ownership some 3 years ago but were very pleased that chance brought us back. Lyndsay & Gary have done a great job in updating and improving what was already a nice B&B - lovely building, beautiful grounds. Lyndsay gave us a great welcome on arrival and made us feel very at home. Between us we had rooms 1 & 2 - both really well appointed to the front of the building, large comfortable beds and good pillows, tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk, free wifi, nice bathrooms with good powerful showers - all very clean and homely. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful - delicious fresh fruit/berries, really good quality bacon & sausages - plenty of tea and toast - perfect. Do not hesitate to stay at The Old Rectory - you will not be disappointed, the 4 of us were delighted with our stay - thank you Lyndsay & Gary.

We received a 'thank you' gift of a two night stay in The Old Rectory from one of our children for some parental assistance (that itself was a pleasant surprise!). We checked the website and being an active, retired couple we added a few more days to give us the opportunity of some walking in North Wales. We were so glad we did.
Leaving aside the beauty and majesty of Snowdonia and the Welsh Coastal Walks, our stay with Gary and Lindsay was equally as noteworthy. The location was perfect being so close to walks, towns, coastal resorts and places of interest. The house is to die for, sitting squarely in the middle of large manicured gardens. Interior decoration and furnishings are tasteful and subtly reflect the period of the house. Our bedroom was large and extremely comfortable, with touches of luxurious detail - little manicure sets in the drawer, miniature decanters of sherry with chocolates, the little churn of fresh milk outside the door every day. To top it all, Gary and Lindsay were the perfect hosts, so friendly and welcoming, always willing and available to assist when needed. A truly five star break with a five star couple.

Only stayed one night, but that was enough to appreciate the place and the people. The Old Rectory itself is a beautiful building set in gorgeous garden surroundings. We received a really warm welcome from Lyndsay when we arrived. The room was superb, very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Although we forgot to hand in the breakfast request form, when we went for breakfast the next morning nothing was too much trouble for Lyndsay. We had a superb full english breakfast, which was delicious. We had quite a taxi journey coming back from meeting our friends, but thankfully, Lyndsay had given us a great recommendation for a taxi firm, and this proved to be exceptionally reasonable for the length of the journey. If I was holidaying in the area again, I would definitely be looking to stay at The Old Rectory. Thank you Lyndsay and Gary for a lovely visit. John and Bev

It can be hard to find high quality accommodation near Nefyn, but the Old Rectory is a brilliant B&B. The hosts are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast, with locally sourced bacon and sausages, was first rate. The rooms have all been redone in the last few years, and are decorated and finished to a high standard. The grounds around the house are beautiful. It's a really lovely place to stay, with hosts who obviously take great pride in providing a charming and relaxing destination. Will definitely recommend this and be back again.

We rented the two bedroomed cottage for a week adjoining the property whilst several family and friend members stayed in the B & B. There were 12 people accommodated on the Saturday night and it meant that we more or less took over the property. We had a BBQ for the whole group after playing rounders on the front lawn. Gary and Lindsay even joined in and Gary's mum was the scorer!
We also stayed in the house for a couple of nights whilst my daughter, and grand daughters stayed in the cottage. The breakfasts in the B & B were to die for, with all the ingredients being sourced locally. The portions were large on the first day to test how much guests would eat! The guests in the house were given free run of the imposing lounge which had an open log fire usually reserved for winter. The paintings and furnishings were all in keeping with what is an imposing Georgian residence.
The rooms are all beautifully decorated and nice touches such as fresh milk, a decanter of sherry and chocolates made for a very pleasant stay in the house.

In the cottage there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a fully fitted dining kitchen, and a very comfortable lounge. Outside there is a private patio with BBQ and loungers and furniture. Upon arrival there is a welcome pack which include all the essentials as well as locally sourced milk, eggs, bread etc. and even two small bottles of wine.

The bedding is all top class quality and there is wi-fi available throughout the properties.

There are many places to visit locally, including Abersoch, Portmeirion, Pwllheli and Criccieth. The Ty Coch pub, which was voted as one of the best beach pubs in the world is even closer, as the crow flies. You have to walk about 20 minutes from the car park to access it!
The only complaint we had was that none of us wanted to leave!!
Thanks Gary and Lindsay for making the stay of all our family and friends so enjoyable and we all want to return as soon as possible.

Room Tip: All rooms are delightful both in decor and views.

We have just spent a weekend at the Old Rectory in Boduan and it was absolutely lovely! Lindsay and Gary are great hosts, very welcoming, very keen to help you relax and get the most out of your stay, and ready to make really helpful recommendations. Our room was beautiful and we had been warned by Gary that it was only a standard room as we booked, but it was
A 5 star room and wonderfully comfortable - lots of nice touches like complimentary sherry and chocolates on our tea tray! The gardens are magnificent and elegantly kept, and we spent a happy time sitting in the sun admiring them. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice, all excellent quality fresh food and very attentive hosts. We really couldn't fault this wonderful place at all and would strongly recommend it to anyone wondering where to stay - its a gem !

The Old Rectory is situated in the quiet village of Boduan and as soon as we 'swept' into the drive, I knew we were in for a treat. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the house itself has lovely personal touches throughout.
The bedroom was well-appointed, bed really confortable, the en-suite excellent and, as well as tea & coffee, there was also a carafe of sherry!
The breakfast at the long dining table in the dining room was exceptional - you are able to put in your orders the evening before from a good selection of delicious options. The packed lunch was better than most I've previously had provided.
Throughout our stay, Lindsay and Gary really put themselves out to make our stay a pleasant one. Nothing was too much trouble.
We will deinitely be staying here again.
