The Old Rectory

My sister and I booked an overnight stay and were so sorry it could not have been for longer! The Old Rectory, in its beautiful setting was without doubt the best B&B accommodation either of us had stayed in - the recently individually decorated rooms are lovely, and include every possible detail to make you feel welcome and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and served a fresh pot of coffee in the garden before (reluctantly) heading off the following morning. Will certainly be returning next summer - owners Gary and Lindsey are excellent hosts and worked hard on the recent refurbishments, what a great find and highly recommended. Thank you both.

Gary and Lindsay have done an amazing job decorating and personalising this beautiful place. making it an amazing luxurious b&b,witch feels like home thanks to their warm welcome and personal touches. Breakfast was amazing and served in a beautiful dining room. Even our 7 month old baby was so welcome and got a nice bed and his own highchair at the table. The area is great and central to all different places. Thanks to the both of you for the great stay, you rock!!!!

We stayed here for 1 night with our 11 year old daughter. We received a very friendly welcome from Gary and Lindsey who have taken over in the last 6 months. The setting is beautiful and the rooms are all very nicely done. We were given some good suggestions on getting about and eating out and when we returned in the evening we received the same attention as when we arrived and felt like we were at home for the evening with some friends. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and a nice sit and chat round the large dining table. We would thoroughly recommend The Old Rectory and if we are back in the area we will choose there first.

We first visited the Old Rectory in March and thought that the extremely high level of service was down to enthusiasm for a new venture. However, on returning it is quite clear that Gary and Lindsey acutally have a passion for providing a quality service and a genuine interest in making their guests happy. Having visiting many many hotels and B&Bs throughout the UK we honestly believe this is one of the best there is. Gary and Lindsey are warm, welcoming and definitely go the extra miles (including making up a plate of cheese and biscuits from his own supplies when he realised we hadn't eaten!). We will definitely be going back again this year.

We were very impressed with the charm and friendliness of this five star bed and breakfast ,ideally situated for those who love outdoor activities including sailing, fishing and golf or just exploring the beautiful Lleyn Peninsular.

The new owners Gary and Lindsay Ashcroft have refurbished The Old Rectory to a high standard. The whole house is very clean and extremely comfortable and the breakfasts delicious.
We will definitely be back.

We have just returned from staying at The Cottage at The Old Rectory and had a wonderful experience. Gary and Lindsay, who have recently purchased The B&B, together with The Cottage, gave us a warm welcome and showed us around. On arrival we received complimentary milk, butter, eggs, bread and tea and coffee together with a welcome bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch! The cottage with its large inglenook fire was beautifully presented, and I had the best nights sleep in ages in the very comfy double bed. Although the cottage with its own garden was private, it was attached to the rear wing of the house so you didnt feel isolated. We will definitely be booking to go again.

We had 3 rooms at The Old Rectory and we can honestly say it was the best B & B we have ever stayed in, more in common with a 5* hotel. Gary and Lindsay were fantastic hosts and we all felt at home and well looked after. All the rooms were beautiful and we were given a superb breakfast the morning after. They also booked us a table for dinner on the Saturday evening in a resaurant in Abersoch and even gave us a lift to Abersoch, you cant ask for more than that. It is a place we would definitely go back to without hesitation.
