We arrived at Tyn-y-Mur and received a very warm welcome. The site managers were warm and welcoming ad directed us to a nice large pitch adjacent to he football pitch. We were given assurances that it didn't get too busy, so no problem there. As we are a family with two younger kids (4 and 7) the play area and relaxed nature of the site seemed really good.

We went out for the afternoon / evening and returned at 8pm to find thirty p,us kids having a full game of football with all the noise, language and misplaced crosses into our car and tent that came with it.
We approached the site managers after a while to ask if there was anything thy could do. However the site manager consulted the owner who insisted that the kids were at liberty to play until 11 pm. At 9pm the ball hit my 7 year old in the side of the head as she lay in bed trying to go sleep.

The site managers were understanding, as by this time the whole debacle was getting rather tiresome and irritating. We were offered a refund or move. We left the next morning. Unfortunately as we were packing up we could overhear the comments being made from outside the buttie van by some of the regular site attendees. The delightful child of one who had been quite clear the night before that his Mummy and Daddy pay three thousand pounds a year and if he wanted to play football until 11 o'clock at night then that was his right.

The refund extended to the nights we didn't stay, rather the one we did, so there was no actual acknowledgement or recompense of the inconvenience of the several hours to set up and take down.

To be fair the site managers were decent people, the site is clean and very well appointed. £30 a night for a large tent is quite expensive and the vicinity of the football pitch best avoided.

A friend recommended Tyn Y Mur to us for a weekend camping and I will now do the same.

Abersoch is beautiful and the views from the site are stunning. We received a warm welcome and and when we confirmed this was our first camping trip were given advice. However, I'd avoid the new footpath we were told about - clearly somewhere for dogs to be relieved before an abrupt end.

The shower blocks are very clean with nice touches such as shower curtians to keep hung up clothes dry.

The childrens play area was great as the kids were entertained all weekend.

We were genuinely surprised by the onsite cafe/take away hut Flip Flop. Cooked breakfast was well cooked, generous and reasonably priced.

A liitle disappointed we had to pay for 3 nights when we only wanted to stay for 2 but did mean we didnt have to pack up early on the final day.

When we go back to Abersoch, we shall definitely stay at Tyn Y Mur again

Room Tip: Avoid the slopes. Next time I shall book next to the football pitch

Joined friends who have a caravan here for a night camping.
Very happy with everything from the service to bacon barms in the morning from flip flops. (Little buttie van on sight)
£22 per night to camp includes the cleanest of toilet & shower cubicles and a fantastic park for kids who were well entertained all day/night.
Lovely location the views are amazing, nice beaches and lovely places to eat.
Wardens are the friendliest people too made to feel very very welcome so thank you.
Will certainly return to camp again.

Ive stayed here about 5 times in the last 12 months. Site is well presented, clean & has a park for children. On site is a little snack van, & football pitch. Couple running it were very friendly & welcoming. Will be returning in August. :)

After 3 years of regular visits to the camp site we still love our time there.
All our family love the location the views and friendly atmosphere.
The grounds and facility's are well maintained and toilets and showers kept spotless.
Kenny and Jackie the wardens are a lovely couple and go that extra mile to help every one enjoy their stay,we now think of them as friends.
