“I simply can't find fault”
Reviewed April 17, 2012

We were a group of 6 and although traditionalists we immediately took to the simple and contemporary design which is fresh and the team are most welcoming and the service flawless. We took photos of the food as the presentation was amongst the best I have seen in the area. We are looking forward to a return visit and don't hesitate to recommend you won't be disappointed! Very comparable to some of the top rated restaurants in the area..., a wide menu choice, which we all deliberated over for some time, no complaints and compliments to all...

“Venice it is not, though it tries”
Reviewed March 19, 2012

Abesoch has much to offer those in search of sea and sand, boating or beer, water sports and beach buddies, restaurants here are verging on stupid and arrogant, I can't say that anyone of them actually delivers the complete experience expected in a place that is an attraction to those well healed people who call this little England in Wales, this restaurant has sincere intentions, but at a price, and no flexibility, the food though is good, and palatable, the price not, but an experience I'd elegance surrounds the body, dulling the frustration of pocket being dipped into, overall it is a well liked eatery with a menu that is fresh, and the content annoying predictable at times.

“Fab meal”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Ate here one evening on half term break to aberdaron. Service was excellent and staff welcoming with our 2 young children (8 and 10 years). The restaurant was very quiet on the evening we ate, however, that did not detract from our overall experience. Anti pasta shared by all of us was a great start . I had seafood pasta for main which was lovely followed by pannacota which is a weakness of mine ....it was up there with the best of them. Not cheap but very enjoyable.

“Good, not great, and a little pricey”
Reviewed January 8, 2012

My mother-in-law, who lives in Abersoch, took us to Venetia to celebrate my husband's birthday. First impressions very good - the lounge area is quite funky but comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. We made our menu choices in the lounge and were called through to the dining room when our starters were ready. My tempura of pollock and plaice were very good, and the others liked the chicken pancake and antipasto. The mains were a little disappointing though. The penne past dish was OK but not massively exciting, and the hake was overcooked - unforgivable in a seafood restaurant. The chocolate orange fondant was OK (and the pistachio ice cream was really good), and my mother-in-law enjoyed the panna cotta.

Venetia is probably the best place around Abersoch for a special occasion, but the quality of the main courses compared to the price would probably put me off going again.
