a nice gentle winter walk with a pram, although the paths were a little muddy. Nice cafe too. Will be back in the Spring.

Visited this Park on a number of occasions. We use it for a base to go walking. There are many signposted walks in the park and more that start from the park and go up into the nearby hills.
There is a visitors centre and facilities including a cafe and gift shop.

There is a water mill to view in the grounds and a large grass area fro kids to play on. They have many events during the year so it is worth wile checking what is on if you plan a visit.

The car parking can fill up quickly, even on cold wet days! Be careful about parking on the main road outside as this is patrolled by ticket happy Traffic Wardens.

It can be muddy(especially in winter) so have boots and wellys availble

Easy to locate with reasonably priced parking. £1 - for up to 3 hours. Plenty of time to walk the two routes. The cafe was very good and served peppermint tea! Go properly dressed and have good walking boots or wellies, it was very muddy. The walks are informative and the kids can look for the statues.

Enjoy a walk alongside the River Alyn, in summer there are paddling opportunities, in autumn enjoy leaf kicking and hearing leaves rustling. Older children can enjoy learning about the geology of limestone and ancient mining industries using the power if water.
Enjoy snacks, coffee, ice creams in the cafe. There is access for wheelchairs for a short distance.
No fee, but parking is chargeable
