“Great for Offa's Dyke walkers”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Plas Ifan is right on Offa's Dyke path, at the southern end of Prestatyn (towards the top of High St / Fforddlas). We received a friendly welcome, were shown our room (right by the front door) and got helpful advice on where to dine. The room was fairly spacious, with a high ceiling but cosy feel and had all the facilities we required including en-suite shower room. Bottled mineral water and a mini-fridge were provided. There were a few quirks to what is an old converted building but we still slept quite well. Breakfast was very good. Payment can be made with credit or debit card at no extra charge.

Found this delightfull B&B by chance off the Internet as a spur of the moment visit to Rhyl to meet with family. On arrival we where greeted by the owners who gave us a guided tour of the house and grounds..wow what a garden...it was amazing... Our room was a family room, double bed and single with en suit, very clean and pleasant....there was ample tea, coffee and milk also a piece of cake......The bed was very comfortable, we both slept very well.....Breakfast was in the conservatory, every thing was great, there was a choice of cereal, fresh fruit and a full English, tea or coffee....
Over all the Plas Ifan was value for money and I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants a family atmosphere...
Thank you for a great stay

It has all been said - a top class B&B. The prize winning garden and breakfast overlooking it were worth the visit alone. Mine hosts were a fascinating couple who are justly proud of the business they have built up. I would not hesitate to recommend or visit again.

Six of us booked in here as we have just started walking the Welsh Coast Path.We arrived later than I thought, having walked 20 miles and not 18! When we told Malcolm that another of our group was taking the train home as he had nowhere to stay Malcolm insisted on retrieving him from the railway station and finding room for him.
Our rooms were clean, comfortable and well-equipped and breakfast was very good, comprising a choice of cereals, muesli, fresh and dried fruit and a full Welsh breakfast.
Both Swan and Malcolm were charming host and I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

This comfortable B & B is right on the route of Offa's Dyke Path, so walkers can drop their gear and head the last mile down to the sea. It's far enough from the commercial area to be quiet, but an easy walk to restaurants and the train station. The rooms are comfortable and the garden is absolutely marvelous, and very relaxing. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. I especially appreciated having the mini-fridge to keep water bottles cold.

Room Tip: The upstairs room is a litle stuffy if it's hot outside.

We found this on Trip Adviser and it was everything we expected. Hosts Malcolm and Swan are welcoming and make you feel at home. Our room was a good size and the ensuite bathroom whilst smallish was functional. Tea and coffee making facilities are of course in the room. Breakfast is served in the rear conservatory and has all the usual varieties. The cooked breakfast prepared by Swan is delicious. There is off street parking and the wifi works well.

This is a somewhat quirky B&B originally being a 1700's chapel. I cannot understand the couple of complaints, perhaps they expected a five star glass and chrome hotel which this isn't. It is however a reasonably priced and very comfortable B&B. We originally booked in for one night but are staying an extra night it is that relaxing here.

I booked in for the night before my 10 days on Offa's Dyke. I enjoyed a warm welcome, a clean comfortable room and a great breakfast in a lovely conservatory looking out on a pretty garden. My hosts were lovely and I thoroughly recommend this B&B which is right on the route. I also took advantage of the packed lunch service which was great.
Many thanks
Huw
