“Fantastic”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

Had lunch: soup and sandwiches, delicious. But the best was yet to come: coffee cake with salted butter cream, probably the best cake I've ever eaten (and I've eaten lots, believe me). All home made at honest prices. Plus: beautiful views from terrace. Excellent service. Good, simple place. Let's hope they keep it that way.

“Got the last table”
Reviewed August 21, 2014 via mobile

Harlech was very busy yesterday but we managed to find the last table here and we were pleasantly surprised as it turned out to be on the little terrace at the back with a lovely view of the sea and castle. The rolls were granary and very nice and very well presented with crisps and salad. The Welsh rarebit was very tasty but you only got one slice of bread with a little salad and chutney for over £5. Would have been better value if it was 2 slices. Good coffee. Would go back.

“fantastic hot chocolate”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

Was delighted to return to this cafe on the high street in Harlech. The views of the castle are just brill, the views of the bay are particularly good from the terrace at the back of the cafe. The main reason for going there four times during our golfing week was their hot chocolate (4 varieties), this is truly delicious. Geoff, the owner is a delight, generous with his time and his ideas. Took home three of their Barabrith as gifts for back home. All of their bread is homemade.

“Excellent little tea shop”
Reviewed August 17, 2014

Stopped here for lunch before visiting the castle with the family. Excellent lunch with a couple of Welsh Rarebits and a beef broth to die for. Good service, an amazing range of teas and coffees and pleasant surroundings. Simple but very satisfying.

“good lunch/snack food with great view”
Reviewed August 16, 2014

Nice terrace out back with view towards castle and coast. Menu had some interesting options, we enjoyed the sandwiches we chose. Friendly service. Owner was chatty and gave us some tips of things to see in the area.
