Big, long beach with plenty of room for everyone and everyone's dogs. Lovely views and the water was even warm enough for a paddle, tho many people were full in swimming.

Harlech Beach is long! Curved and backed by extensive dunes, it can be reached using a footpath via the golf course. I think there may be a car park too. The sand is soft and clean and we found lots of interesting shells. We almost had the beach to ourselves and it was lovely for a walk. Make sure you know where you crossed the dunes or you may have difficulties getting back! The only downside was a mild aroma of sewage which perhaps came from the sewage works at nearby Porthmadog.

Great expanse of clean beach. Part of it a designated dog area. 5 minutes walk from car park where there are toilets and usually an ice cream van. Fabulous sand dunes but there are warnings to keep off them. We went in August and it wasn't overcrowded so plenty of space to play cricket etc.

one of the best beaches you will ever find, takes a bit of effort to get up the boardwalk as the sand often drifts over it, the sand is very soft and you can end up wading through it rather than walking on it, but once you are there it is well worth it, soft sand at the top of the beach and firmer near the sea, great for castles or cricket, take a picnic or ust stroll along and forget the world exists for a few hours.

Lovely huge and clean beach with grassy areas for shelter. The left hand side is designated for people with dogs. Parking charge in car park but not excessive, toilets and ice cream van usually there too!
