Gwyn (The owner) gave us a warm welcome with wine and Welsh Bara Brith.
The place was very comfortable with all facilities you would need. Although it's just off the main road there is very little traffic and almost nothing from dusk onwards. The garden is secure so we could let our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel roam around without worry.
The location is great; Harlech station just a 5 minute walk as is the local convenience store which is well stocked. A good walk to the beach but there is a car park nearer if required. Its very handy for visits to Barmouth, Porthmadog etc.
We would have no hesitation in recommending.
Arrived at this property for a week in August. Recieved a warm welcome from the owner Gwyn. We were very impressed with the property, plenty of room, very clean and comfortable. There was everything you would need, washing machine, drier, dishwasher, games console. Lovely touch of a home baked cake and bottle of wine on arrival. Beds were very comfortable. Large secure garden with lovely views. Would highly recommend this property, felt very cosy, and we were all sad to leave. Would definitely visit again.
Had a great time at property gwyn was very helpfull and had a great stay property was nice will b back soon thanks brian and family
We recently returned from a long weekend stay at 58 Y Waun. What a brilliant find!! There was ample room for our 4 adults, a toddler and a dog. The kitchen is well equipped and Gwyn the owner was so friendly. He met us on arrival and gave us some superb advice on where to go an explore within the area. The beds are super comfy and the house was so clean. It was also lovely and warm too. If the weather happens to be miserable the children are catered for with console games. If it happens to be brilliant sunshine then you can even dine outside with the addition of a barbie provided. Harlech is a lovely town and the Seaside town of Barmouth is only a 20 minute drive away. The beach is 10 minutes walk and it is simply stunning. Portmeirion the Italian Village is only a short drive away. I can thoroughly recommend this holiday stay. We have already booked to go back again later in the year. It will certainly become of of our go to places to stay.
Before arrival Gwyn the owner had responded very quickly to our messages. He met us at the house and was very welcoming and helpful. He had kindly left some provisions in the fridge and homemade cake. There were plenty of towels and the beds were made up nicely. The kitchen is fairly well supplied with pots and pans etc.
The house is well situated to walk into Harlech and to the long sandy beach. It is easy to park outside the house. It takes about 40 mins to drive to Snowdon. Other beaches and attractions are only a short drive away.
My family and I had a very lovely visit. 5 min walk to the beach and short drive to seaside towns and very family friendly. Lots to do and see, We would recommend going to the slate mine and if you have young children there is also a farm there with a soft play centre and animal corner to meet some of the animals.
Overall lovely trip to Wales.
