“Amazing Castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013 via mobile

This was a beautiful castle. It is hard to imagine living in that era. You can go right to the top of the castle, if you take little children you would have to be careful, however the views are spectacular, overlooking the valley, the mountains, the ocean and the town of Harlech. It was well worth the drive, a beautiful little village and well worth it. I would recommend you go!

“A nice little castle”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

My family and I visited Harlech intending to spend time on the beach but stopped off at the castle first. It was a nice castle to potter around but I felt it was a little expensive for what was there and as you have such a large choice of castles to visit in North Wales, it wouldn't be one I would visit again. A lovely little castle if you have twenty minutes to spare!

“Superb castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

Iconic castle - part of Edward the 1st's ring of castles to dominate North Wales. Views to die for over the golf course, Harlech bay and beyond to Portmerion, Porthmadog and Criccieth and with Snowdonia in the back drop. Tip - buy a 3 day or a 5 day pass - I only got to know about it at Caenarvon castle on the last day of our North Wales adventure. I had paid £60 for family tickets to 4 CADW castles and I found out I could have bought a 3 day pass for £32 - downer! Well maintained castle - keep young kids away from the parapets as the walls are very low!

“Stunning, marvellous castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is my best favourite castle so far. It is huge, stunning and absolutely marvellous castle. It'll take you at least couple of hours to explore the whole area. Take time to stroll along the great walls. Don't forget to climb up to the top for a beautiful, remarkable and unforgettable grand view.

“A step back in time on a Sunday morning”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

We have visited many castles, and were quite taken with this one. From afar it looks like a typical sand castle, square with turrets to each corner! Exhibition boards tell the history and most areas can be explored. Beware, the low walls on the high walks make you feel a little queasy -stunning views make up for that though! Well worth £4.50 entry fee.
