Expensive masterchef style food that looked great but was otherwise extremely average. Nearly £70 for two meals was poor value.

After a walk up Snowden came down and went for tea at this pub.
We hadn't booked but fortunately there was space for us but it's worth booking as it is very popular.
The place is clean and tidy and has a nice atmosphere.
It also has accommodation which looks nice.
We had a lovely meal but as others have said previously we had to wait for the mains as everything is prepared freshly and we didn't have starters.
I had fish and chips which was nice but the batter was soggy so I peeled it off to eat the delicious fish underneath.
My 13 year old son had a child meal which was great and a brownie dessert which he ate all of it.
The waiters/waitresses were lovely and helpful and we will return when next in the area.

We found this pub/inn recommended by someone else and had a fantastic meal. It was quiet at lunchtime but I assume all residents of the inn- walkers- eat there in the evening. We all had a delicious morrocan lamb salad to start which was delicious. I had risotto with huge quantities of goats cheese which was very rich. My husband chose fish and chips - both were delicious. Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream rounded off a delightful meal.

Walking in Snowdonia is a great experience, and finding a wonderful pub/hotel like Bryn Tyrch Inn is icing on the cake. The food is very good, a mix of exotic and hearty. The large floor to ceiling windows allow you ti sit, sip and take in the spectacular view of the mountains. Whether you are stopping in for a meal or a pint, you are welcomed and never rushed out. The selection of real coffee is fantastic, and you can easily spend an afternoon drinking the hot stuff and chatting with friends. It does get busy, so you may need to reserve a table. Don;t miss it.
