“Fantastic place to stay would recommend to anybody”
Reviewed June 5, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The cottage was imaculate, and had everything you needed. There was a welcome pack in the fridge and and fantastic homemade chocolate cake.
There was ample room for myself and my family and our two dogs.

The beach is just up the road and thre is a shop and a pub a nice walk away.
the country side was breathtaking and I would recommend this cottage to family and friends

“Great cottage in a lovely area”

Storehouse Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage in the village of Llysfaen, near Old Colwyn in North Wales. Three of us stayed here at Christmas 2016 and found it a comfortable and spacious cottage for our stay. The cottage has three bedrooms, although the third one is fairly small with bunk beds and we thought that the two main bedrooms could do with more drawers for clothes. The main bedrooms both have a television and there is free wifi. The lounge has a leather sofa and two armchairs and had plenty of room for us, and the kitchen is a good size with a dining table and washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, hob and microwave and lots of equipment. We were pleased with the treats we found waiting for us on arrival and the Christmas tree in the lounge. The cottage was a bit chilly on arrival, there are small radiators in the rooms which took a long time to heat up but once they did it was cosy - there is a woodburning stove which we didn't use as out visiting family. We loved the mirror light in the bathroom but we think it could have done with a shelf to put toiletries on in the bathroom, there is a shower but the pressure is quite low. The cottage has a garden behind with a summerhouse which would be a lovely place to sit in the summer and enjoy the views. You can park just across the road in an off-road parking space. This cottage would be an excellent base for a holiday in North Wales and we would happily stay there again.

“My idea of a charming Welsh cottage”
Reviewed October 26, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We spent a relaxing few days here for my birthday – we loved the cosy livingroom, charming bedroom and country kitchen with mod cons, and welcome pack of goodies. The terraced cottage is 18th century, with a woodburner (free logs a plus), stone fireplace and tasteful country décor. The views of the hills are stunning and a joy to wake up to, with horses and sheep grazing in the fields. The back garden is also delightful, built on three levels, complete with summer house and decking area, leading up the cliff. A real suntrap. The area is great for hiking and just behind the cottage is Mynydd Marian, a short stroll up the hill, a favourite for dog-walkers, climbers and a great place to watch the sunset and panoramic sea views. We met quite a few friendly people up there. The area is convenient both for the coast and Snowdonia. We enjoyed Colwyn Bay and hikes in the Conwy Valley, enjoying the amazing autumnal scenery and sense of calm. We had lovely sunshine, wearing T-shirts in mid-October! We followed the Sacred Doorways route and found the Roman ruins of Canovium – a very evocative place. The cottage is a little gem for the price and we’ll certainly return for another visit.

“Wonderful cottage, calm but not far-off”
Reviewed August 18, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Our holidays had everything they needed: a region that offers everything from beaches and water to mountains as well as perfect accommodation surrounded by nature with shopping facilities nearby in Colwyn.
We travelled with two couples and especially enjoyed the wonderful view from the kitchen while cooking and from the garden while having breakfast or dinner. The fairly new kitchen was one of our favourite places. However, the bedrooms are furnished and decorated nicely as well to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere.
A nice thing to do is to take an evening walk (approx. 15 minutes) up on the cliffs which begin right behind the cottage. The path leads to the local natural reserve Mynydd Marian from which you have a lovely view over Old-Colwyn and Colwyn Bay. All in all, a perfect week.
We are definitely coming back!

“Beautiful cottage with gorgeous views”
Reviewed July 26, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This cottage is lovely and so reasonably priced! Felt very at home during our stay and recommend to anyone. We had lots to do at the bay, nearby towns and the brewery which was a short walk away. We took our dogs as well and they loved their holiday also. Especially the beach. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.
