“Cosy old cottage in idyllic setting”
Reviewed October 19, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We needed somewhere to stay for a couple of days to attend a family gathering in the area. Happened upon this lovely cottage only a few minutes from where we needed to be.It was dark by the time we arrived after a 3 1/2 hour drive but we found the cottage easily and were pleasantly surprised. The heating was on and it was warm and welcoming, living area and two bedrooms were cosy and traditional ,with TV, stereo and Wifi , much to the relief of the teenagers!
The kitchen and bathroom have obviously been recently renovated and both were clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could need for self catering and nice to have little things like kitchen towel and washing up liquid supplied.
In the daytime we discovered the lovely garden with the stream at the bottom would be lovely for a summer stay.
The location was ideal, no traffic noise and totally dark and silent at night , so relaxing.
Would definitely stay here again when visiting this lovely part of the world. We visited Llanon, LLansantffraed ,Aberaeron and New Quay in the short time we were there and would love to see more of the area. Highly Recommended if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

“A Nice Little Cottage”
Reviewed August 16, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Good Location for us when visiting our Daughter in Aberystwyth. Away from the main road so peaceful surroundings. Comfortable lounge and two bedrooms. Garden with a stream at the bottom. Has wi fi,, thank you to good neighbour Rob who helped in getting us on line.

Will be contacting owner again when we are next in Wales.

This is a very comfortable, well equipped cottage. Ideal for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Cosy, traditional decor. The cottage was clean and welcoming. A well kept garden, with the added bonus of garden furniture and a BBQ.
Ideally situated for trips to Aberystwyth (9 miles), Aberaeron (6 miles) and New Quay a little further on down the coast.
The village of Llanrhystud has a well equipped shop and post office. The Black Lion pub does a great Sunday lunch.

A wonderful little cottage with a beautiful garden. Had read some not so nice reviews but some people obviously just like to find fault. Would definitely recommend and hope to return sometime soon. All in all a wonderfully relaxing weekend.

“A lovely relaxing retreat”
Reviewed June 1, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

It is a proper cottage with character. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the garden was really beautiful with the stream, birdsong and the wind in the trees. We were glad there was garden furniture to sit out. All the previous problems mentioned in reviews have been sorted because the cottage was clean and warm and the mattress and TV were fine. Loved the bathroom! We would stay there again, especially in view of the very reasonable price.
