My husband and I thought we would brave Wales in October for the first night of our honeymoon. The Harbourmaster was lovely. We had one of the rooms on the first floor with chairs outside on the downstairs roof. It was gorgeous. My husband had phoned ahead to have champagne in the room and it was all ready. We ate in the restaurant which was cool and inviting. I don't recommend the beef shin as the jous was a bit strong but otherwise everything was perfect.

We stayed here 2 nights and were so glad we did. Lovely stylish hotel, beautifully renovated, friendly staff, trendy bustling bar, very decent food, very nice breakfasts. Our room was lovely, modern, spotlessly clean with a great view of the harbour. Aberaeron is lovely, a great place to unwind and people watch and watch the sun set. Well worth a go.

Room Tip: We stayed in Aronso which overlooked the harbour. Weren't troubled by any noise from punters in the bar.

Having stayed (a few times) and visited (regularly), I have nothing but praise for this hotel/bar/restaurant. Stunning location excellently run by the managers/owners, professionally staffed (quite clearly every one is singing off the same hymn sheet!).

Accommodation is tasteful, modern or should I say contemporary and of course stylish. Food at the bar (fish and chips spot on) and we ate in the restaurant at night on a dinner bed and breakfast rate which was first class. If you have any room then breakfast is a traditional Welsh one sourcing "local" ingredients. A real example of how any hotel/bar/restaurant should be run. I wish them every success as they fully deserve it.

Well done Alistair Sawday, yet another excellent recommendation!
What a lovely place, directly on the waterfront in our own little cottage.
A 'bussingly' bar, even midweek. The food was very good and the breakfast, well quite simply the best we have ever had in any hotel!
Pleasant staff.

This is a gem of a hotel, which combines location with a talent for hospitality in spades. The rooms are varied in style and outlook, all are excellent, with very comfortable beds and well-appointed bathrooms. There is hugely creative talent in the kitchen, with a menu that shows originality and flair, and the presentation is second to none. Service is via cheerful, charming and intelligent people who are a pleasure to talk to and who are nothing less than helpful in all regards. Someone who knows about wine has created the list, and it's a cracking selection of bottles from many corners of the globe and with prices to suit all pockets. What this hotel offers is worth every penny, and the fact that many other people think so too means booking well ahead.

Room Tip: If you are after a suite, with a high WOW factor, then choose Aeron Queen. Many of the rooms overlook the harbour, which is lovely, but harbours have people, wind and water, so bear that in mind. There are rooms to the other side which are very good indeed, and are, shall we say, more tranquil.
