Have made 2/3 visits a year since 2009 with my wife. Have not eaten internally since 2010. No real reason for this other than we tend to buy a takeaway meal and eat along the harbour wall.

We readily enjoyed the internal meals as did other members of our family.

As the most recent purchases relate to take away food we generally have chips which are of a good consistent standard. We enjoy their very large OGEE ( pasty ) which we tend to share and other items such as pies, chicken curry, fish etc.

Have no hesitation in recommending this location to others.

I was most perturbed to have staff sweeping the floors whilst my guests and I were still eating. I could understand if a child had dropped food under a single table or something, but to have somebody sweeping around you whilst eating I felt was unhygienic. Our bill was handed to us with our meal, after we'd ordered a main course and drinks, we were never asked if our food was O.K. nor if we desired a pudding. I am uncertain of the closing time, but if it was nearly time and this was the case why take our order in the first place. We felt we were being hassled, yet another family were being served as we left. As for pud. well we settled for an ice-cream to take out from the front of shop.

Two years ago we stayed in wales on holiday and had the best fish and chips for ages here, we had it as a take away last time and they even done a take away pudding, so as we were going back to wales we thought we would try it again and see if it was just as good.
We arranged to meet up with some family that live in wales nearby, so we discided to go to the Celtic Restaurant to have a sit down meal this time.
As my youngest is a vegetarian and we wondered what she might have but she had a jacket potatoe, cheese and potatoe paste and salad and mushy peas, the rest of us, another 5 in total had fish and chips.
We sat next to the window and had a lovely view over the little habour and the wooden bridge.
The service was very good the waiteress was friendly and helpful and the batter on the fish was crispy and cooked just right, the portions were a good size any bigger might have been to much and the chips were great. The standard was just the same as 2 years ago which was a relief as we had told the family how good it had been.
Unfortunatly i can't tell you what the pudding were like as we were full and none of us had one, the only let down for me was they didn't do any onion rings but i can cope with that but next time we go back i hope they will have started to do them.
