It is a great place for locals and visitors alike to experience great food, good beer and fine wines. Our menu caters for all who appreciate great food and is inspired by tradition and created with imagination. All our food is cooked from scratch using where possible locally sourced ingredients including Lamb from our farm just down the road. We serve a traditional Sunday lunch between 12-3 pm. Booking is advisable We can cater for small dinner parties and occasions such as Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, Charity Events and Fundraisers.

“A proper rural pub!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2011

We ate at this pub when staying in Llandovery and I loved it. The pub was very cosy with a roaring wood stove and had rustic appeal with the wooden furniture and fabric wall hangings. There was a good choice of food and the meals we chose were both huge and delicious and much better than most of the standard pub fare we found locally. It was quiet when we visited and we were the only customers eating but the locals who were there were friendly and the pub had a real community feel. I would definitely recommend the Neudadd Fawr!

“If only all pubs were like this”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2011

Way off the beaten track in an area of Wales with few decent pubs offering food, we found this quite by chance. Luck was with us. This old pub has been tastefully decorated in an unfussy old-fashioned way by the new managers and would have been lovely just for a beer. There's a super beer garden too with an amazing view. But it was the food that made it such a special experience. A truly wide selection, with options for kids, and enormous portions. We liked it so much that, despite only having three nights in the area, we went back again and didn't regret it for a minute. Oh, and there's a gorgeous area in the garden where they grow their own herbs and veg too.

“Great find our in the country!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2011

We stayed at Henllys B & B who recommended this restaurant. It is out in the country about 3 miles from Llandovery, but don't be fooled by the very small village. The food is definitely "big city" in both variety and quality. We ate here two nights with excellent dinners and service both times.
Worth a special trip if you are in the Llandovery area.
