My son (aged 7) and I stayed here for one night end of July 2012 whilst escaping from the muddy carnage of my eldest son's cub camp! We checked in a little later than planned and were greeted by wonderful hosts and the most beautiful twin room and most importantly - lovely, warm bath! Well needed!

The beds were so comfortable, the room was really quiet (apart from my son's snoring!) and the breakfast the next morning was truly yummy. Needless to say, we were refreshed and rested and then ready to face the packing up of cub camp!

We will return!

We arrived on a beautiful October day. We were meeting up with friends to commemorate the unveiling of the compelling statue of Llewellyn ap Gruffydd Fychan, our Welsh Braveheart. Our welcome at The Drovers was both warm and professional. We were taken to our room which provided all we could wish for and more ! It proved to be quiet and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with homemade and locally sourced food. Parking is available and when we left , we agreed that it was the place to which we would return.

Room Tip: The pink room was lovely.

Everything was superb. We stayed in the pink room. A spacious, comfortable room in a very characterful building tastefully furnished. The pub across the road were playing loud music well into the evening but we couldn't hear anything in the room, we had a very good night's sleep.
The shower, although electric, was one of the best I've used.
Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and locally supplied. Nothing was too much trouble.
Most highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at the Drovers last week whilst we were on a short break. The breakfast was great - home made jams and marmalade were delicious - and the room was absolutely excellent. A very clean and comfortable House. The Hosts were also very pleasant and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone!!

We stayed here over one night whilst visiting family in the area. The building is in a great location in town and offers car parking to the rear of the property. Jill met us and showed us our room, which was lovely with views across the back garden. The room was well provided for, fresh and clean and light, the bed was very comfy. Breakfast the next morning was first class, and was served in the lovely large room to the front of this Grade II listed building. The stay was made all the better for being dog friendly and I would recommend it to anyone, four legged or not with a taste for good bacon and divine sausages! Excellent hosts and a passion for their home town, overall a very pleasant stay.

We have stayed at the Drovers a few times now every time I take part in the local off-road motorcycle rally. The hosts are always accommodating - even to the point of getting up early to prepare our breakfasts on Sunday morning. Fantastic clean rooms, soft pillows and a comfortable bed. Plenty of secure parking, especially if you have trailers. Cannot fault the stay - 5* accommodation and extremely good value.

Room Tip: Ring in advance and book direct. The rooms at the back overlook the gardens and would be quieter.

Arrived very late at night due to work, but still a very warm welcome. Beautiful house, comfy bedroom, everything I needed. Breakfast, 1st class! All fresh and local. Really well done - book direct with the owners rather than on line. Will be one I return to for a work stay over.
