My wife and I stayed here for the weekend, and I debated on whether or not we should because of past bad reviews. Well they had a big renovation last year and from the photos and some of the recent reviews it seemed nice so we gave it a shot. We stayed in one of the outside buildings which is kinda set up like apartments. We were on the bottom floor and from the get go the people above us were extremely loud. Now I do not blame the hotel for the them being loud but the floor was so thin that we heard everything! We could hear them talking, walking, the children running around, every time they flushed the toilet we heard it! I went to the desk on our way out to dinner and asked if we could change rooms if we got back and they were still loud. The very nice guy at the desk said that would be fine. So, we get back from dinner and they apparently had gone to sleep, so we just decided to stay. Now the next problem; we lay down (on the very firm, uncomfortable bed) and we start hearing this knocking noise from the kitchen area, then it goes away for a bit, then it starts again, and on and on all night. I recorded the noise to play for the desk the next morning. Well early the next morning our loud neighbors up stairs wake us up and we get up and decide to get the heck out of there. I go to the front desk to check out and I tell the girl there about the knocking noise and play it for her on my phone. She tells me they will have someone look at it, but I guess I was expecting a little more than that. I didn't mention the loud guests because once again that is not their fault. I really never leave bad reviews and I would not rate this hotel as "poor" because I'm sure under other circumstances it could have been more acceptable but it was my worst night in a hotel for comfort and sleep and I have stayed in many hotels. I personally probably won't stay here again.
