Clean, comfy and welcoming staff. The hotel is in a great location just across the road from the Peabody and a very short walk from Beale Street. The bar/restaurant on site is a TGI Friday's - which was a bit noisy and crowded. No complaints about the room though, we were upgraded to a large corner suite with fantastic views. It may not have much character but would happily stay there again.

As an adult traveling with my handicapped parents, I was surprised to find how difficult it was to find handicapped accessible rooms that would accomodate 3 adults (two queen beds).

We were given a corner room that was larger than a standard room which yes, had two queen beds and accomodated the wheelchair issue. However, the bathrooms did not have the safety features (grab bars) that would have made this room perfect for us. The bathroom did have 2 showers (one walk-in) which I found a little odd but also entertaining.

The property is old. the decor is decent--nothing luxurious or spectacular. It is very close to Beale Street (walking distance). This hotel is directly across the street from the Peabody Hotel (famous duck march).

The staff were gracious and friendly. The bellman remembered my first name after not seeing him for 2 days. I was surprised!

The positives of the hotel were that it was close to Beale Street and the beds were comfortable. The negatives were that we had 4 people and were never given enough towels, the floor was so dirty that I was afraid to walk on it without socks and that room had no lighting to speak of so I was glad this wasn't a business trip. Also, the room was so moist that it felt moldy, my nose stayed clogged the entire visit. It is in need of a dehumidifier. The valet only parking is $20 per day and it takes some time to get your vehicle. The front desk staff were nice but one member of the valet service was very rude to us. The hotel boasts of free internet but they only have 2 computers, only one was working and it was so slow that I gave up and left.

Stayed here two nights for my husband's business trip - a conference held downstairs in this hotel. The room was small but pleasant enough, two double beds, suitable bathroom, and very clean. This hotel is right next to the Peabody and three blocks from Beale Street. While he was in meetings I would walk through the area, which has GORGEOUS historical buildings. For three days we never used the car but explored and ate within walking distance. The staff at the Doubletree were exceptionally hospitable - we never passed one another without a greeting - and were very helpful and accomodating. The fitness room is small but fulfilled my needs - treadmill and weights. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. I would stay here again.

There were 3 couples in our party. We enjoyed being close to Beale St. We walked back and forth several times. The room and service was great. We enjoyed the delicious cookies. We will all definitely be back.

stayed here 2 nights in July for business, on one of the three Honors level floors. my room was very spacious and the bedding is top notch in the industry, very plush, comfortable and CLEAN! The room had a nice sized LCD TV. The window air conditioner was a bit loud but kept the room as cold as I wanted it. The restaurant is very good and they serve up a real good buffet breakfast. I'd stay here again

Room Tip: honors level if you qualify

Modern, clean spacious and light, we woudl highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. The Hotel is 30 seconds from the lights, music and entertainement of Beale Street.
the staff were friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast in teh hotel but service was good as was the food.
The rooms were spacious comfortable and well equiped. On street and Valet parking were both available.
make sure your stay includes a Wednesday. This is bike night and Beale Street is full of hundreds of bikes. Plenty of entertainment and great for people watching
