“The best place to stay”

Frmo being offered a glass of wine upon check in, we were impressed by the staff. They were kind and helpful. The hotel sist accross the road from the mighty MIssissippi, in a village enclave , we had a room with a view to the river and it was delihgtful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a carafe of port and chocolates being provided as part of the "Tuen down" service in the evening. A small library greets guests on each landing, and coffe is provided there every morning, so no long strech to the lobby. The best place to stay in Memphis!

You can't imagine a better place to stay. Service is very professional and friendly. Rooms are very cozy. Amazing breakfast. Great location by the river. Very close to downtown. Don't bother to look for another place to stay in Memphis.

Room Tip: Try to get a view of the river.

From the moment we arrived I cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel.
The staff were personable and helped ensure that we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We had complimentary wine upon arrival; port and candy delivered in the evening; and one of the best full breakfast meals in their adjoining restaurant. We also enjoyed the evening sunset while having a glass of wine at their rooftop bar/cafe. Our room was a corner room on the second floor with a view of the Mississippi river. Our room was nicely furnished and the bed was quite comfortable. I had read some reviews stating that they had problems with noise from above but we did not. The only noise we had was from the airconditioning unit that functioned great but was very loud.

Room Tip: I would pay a llittle more and select a room with a view of the river.

This was a really professional hotel, yet in a way like a four-star guesthouse. We were offered a glass of wine on arrival, then got to our room, which was very nice. We drove in to town for ribs afterwards, about 10 minutes. I think the best thing was the breakfast. It was wonderful. Included in the price, and served by a wonderful waiter. We had a full breakfast, anything we wanted off the menu -- even a side of country ham! Couldn't have been better.

Our party of four have just spent 3 nights in this great hotel, we are reasonably well travelled and all reckoned this to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was fantastic, the staff were friendly, attentive and quick to serve, the location is just amazing and the rooms we had both enjoyed good views of the river. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Memphis. Well worth the money!

What a great place. Attention to detail everywhere.
The big smiles as we walked in, the welcome champagne, really comfortable bed, coffee delivered to our floor in the morning, great breakfast and fantastic location next to the Mississippi.
Really appreciated the turndown service.
Ate at Tugs grill, had great food, but didn't have time to try Paulettes (where menu looked awesome) because we headed to Beale Street for food.
We were here on a 2 day break AND IT WAS PERFECT !

We stayed one night at the River Inn on our honeymoon. We e-mailed the hotel in advance and were upgraded to the penthouse suite on arrival. This was a very nice touch and was far more generous than some of the more famous and expensive hotels we stayed at on our trip. We also enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine in the foyer while listening to an accomplished pianist. Before dinner, we watched the sun go down over the Mississippi while drinking cocktails on the rooftop bar. The evening meal at Paulette's restaurant within the hotel was one of the nicest of our trip as was breakfast the next morning. The service was excellent on both occasions. This hotel definitely has a personal feel to it and you can see they take a lot of care to ensure guests are happy. It is a short taxi ride away from Beale St which we visited after the evening meal. We would honestly say that this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at and would recommend it to anyone staying in Memphis.
