Description: While dining at The Majestic Grille you might expect to see Myrna Loy & William Powell sitting at the bar, zinging witty one-liners at each other over ice-cold martinis. Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol'. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly's award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you're center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen. Named Best Restaurant, Best Brunch and Best Chef, The Majestic Grille has won accolades in regional and national press. As a community gathering spot for the Arts, The Majestic Grille offers up a dining experience that delights all the senses! Whether sipping a mimosa at our 'Ultimate' Sunday Brunch, hosting a business dinner in a private room, or watching the trolley roll by on our beautiful patio, we invite you to join us for a special dining experience in our historic downtown location. We look forward to seeing you soon, Deni & Patrick Reilly

“Great food, reasonable prices”

Eaten here twice and the food was good both times. Very attentive waiters with a good sense of humor. It can get noisy and they should do something to absorb some of the noise. I dislike shouting at my dinner guests...

“Lovely dinner and lovely atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014

We had a delicious dinner. The server was friendly and helpful. The flatbreads were actually really good. The T-bone steak was great too. There is a good wine selection. The veggies were also tasty. The atmosphere is classy in the way that you can go dressed up or you can go in sharp jeans and a sweater.

“So good we went back.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

Nice ambience here and after a really good lunch, we went back another day and had some really great ribs and good wine. Not pricey or pretentious, but an enjoyable place to get good food. We would certainly visit again when we ever return to Memphis.

“Nice alternative in Memphis. ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014 via mobile

Neat location in Memphis with good food and a great atmosphere. Steaks were a little pricy but there are solid alternatives available as well. Really cool to dine and watch old silent movies at the same time! Will likely return one day.
