Description: While dining at The Majestic Grille you might expect to see Myrna Loy & William Powell sitting at the bar, zinging witty one-liners at each other over ice-cold martinis. Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol'. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly's award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you're center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen. Named Best Restaurant, Best Brunch and Best Chef, The Majestic Grille has won accolades in regional and national press. As a community gathering spot for the Arts, The Majestic Grille offers up a dining experience that delights all the senses! Whether sipping a mimosa at our 'Ultimate' Sunday Brunch, hosting a business dinner in a private room, or watching the trolley roll by on our beautiful patio, we invite you to join us for a special dining experience in our historic downtown location. We look forward to seeing you soon, Deni & Patrick Reilly

My wife and I both ordered the filet Gorgonzola. It was incredible. Had a balsamic glaze sauce with it as well. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're visiting downtown Memphis. Cool location on historic Main St. too!

Everyone loves ribs in Memphis, but in addition to ribs, this restaurant had a variety of food in a fun atmosphere.

They have a nice selection of flat bread pizzas. I ordered one that had grilled chicken and other ingredients. Unfortunately there were bones in the chicken ON the pizza.

When the waiter came round, which was rare, I mentioned to him there were a few bones, so he may wish to let the kitchen know to keep an eye out for them. He sarcastically said to my table mate "How bout you? Did you have bones in your ribs too?"

That was all.

A perfectly rude ending to a nice meal. I am not going to go all over yelp and waste time contacting them as we were on a road trip and made a special stop in Memphis. I am going to write this review however. Not giving them terrible marks, just average to even it out.

We're in Memphis for the St. Jude Marathon (which unfortunately was cancelled). We stayed at the Peabody Hotel and wanted a restaurant nearby for our pre-race dinner. The Majestic Grille offered numerous vegetarian options. We made reservations on opentable about a week ahead of time. They have great salads, flat breads and pastas. Our server was pretty absent, but the food was good.

This atmospheric modern American restaurant was both characterful and enjoyable to eat in. There is a wide range of food, and both the crab cakes and burger I had were both excellent. The service was also very good and the pricing very reasonable.

Ate here during the Dining Week $20.13 three course dinner deals being offered by downtown restaurants from 11/18-23. Wow! Ate the salad, rib eye and chocolate mousse desert. Incredibly tasty. Also, regular $9 martini sold for $5. Our server Andrew was top notch-attentive but not hovering. Restaurant is a converted movie theater and the decor is top notch. One of the best restaurants in Memphis.
