We had only one night in Memphis and were most likely to go to the glitzier establishments nearby but decided to see what the Flying Fish had to offer. As visitors from the UK we were keen to try local dishes and visit places which were not just for tourists. We enjoyed the food and informal atmosphere at this restaurant as well as the value for money. The friendly welcome was shared by the other diners who guided us to the counter to order our choices. It was one of the best and one of the least expensive meals we had during our three week road trip. We very much liked the character of the place with the Liars' Wall and the Billy Bass adoption centre.
