“Very Nice Stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

We just spent 3 nights at the Westin, and we enjoyed it. It is in a great location, within a block or two of lots of tourist attractions. It made it easy to do a few things, go back to the hotel and re-group and go out again. We had a King corner room, 701. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The hotel was very much what we expected, so we were pleased, maybe not a full 4 star, but a 3+. Next time we go back to Memphis we will stay at The Westin again.

This beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Beale St. was perfect in every way. The staff was courteous & efficient. The bartender, Courtney, was a delight to talk to & he gave us some helpful hints about seeing other areas of Memphis. Then of course the hotel is literally around the corner from the restaurants and the fabulous blues music scene. The Museum of Rock & Soul is across the street. To top it all off, the price couldn't be beat. We fell in love with Memphis and without a doubt would return to The Westin.

We stayed here July 19th through 21st 2013. Hotel is only a block from Bealle Street and right across the street from the Gibson Guitar Muesuem and Fedex Forum Stadium. We enjoyed our entire stay at the hotel. The only suggestion to the Hotel is to work on the Air Conditioning. We had ours set to 60 degees and it was stil pretty warm. Vallet service was top notch. Star Bucks Coffee right around corner, yeah! Very quiet considering we were that close to Bealle Street. Perfect location. FYI: On Friday and Saturday night, if your not 21 you don't get on Bealle Street. They card and scan everyone for weapons, glass bottles, etc. Hotel had a great staff which was very helpful. Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Can't imagine there is a bad room in the Hotel.

I was a little worried after reading a few of the TA reviews, but we loved this hotel! The location is perfect if you want to tour Beale Street, the Gibson guitar tour is right across the street and my son even got to play a Gibson and keep it for our entire stay. The front desk staff were very professional and efficient. The lobby is gorgeous and the signature aroma of White Tea is apparent all through the property. Our room was clean and well-appointed. There was no problem with noisy neighbors and self-parking at this property is a breeze! Thanks to the Westin staff for making our stay so memorable. You were wonderful!

Room Tip: If you play guitar, be sure to ask to try out one of the Gibsons in the lobby. It's free and the...

Westin was a very nice hotel. Very clean and close to all the action on Beale Street. Staff was very nice. Only problem was the parking was expensive. The Westin is right on Beale st right across from Gibson Guitar and the Fed-Ex forum.... Didn't have the noise problems other reviews seem to have.

I've heard so many great things about the Westin.....However, my hubby got us a room for the weekend in our native city for my birthday, I was not really impressed. The room was just average, nothing over the top, we arrived at 6pm'ish and our room wasn't ready and valet parking was $24 per day. The location is great! Central to Beale Street, FedEx Forum, Gibson Guitar Factory, and local restaurants, etc. I wasn't disappointed in the place, but I must admit I was expecting more.

Very disappointed with the hotel in general. Stayed on the third floor for a conference. The hallway smelled like sewage or urine. Carpet was stained throughout the hallway. Found our door to be cracked open upon arrival. Later learned that the door didn't close all the way. Carpet stains throughout the room and furniture was worn. Very uncomfortable desk chair - would not rise up to the proper height. One of the elevators was broken for our entire stay of 5 days. There was no way to take the stairs to the lobby area. The stairways (as we were told by other elevator riders) goes to an alley outside the hotel. No extra bathroom tissue in the room.

We asked for a room with a view. Was told we would be facing the Gibsun Museum. However, our room was facing the back side of Beale St. with a view of air conditioners on the hotel rooftop. Not a big deal but just wasn't what we were told.

Just not what you would expect for a Westin. However, the location was ideal being a block away from Beale St.
