Certainly lots of dead people are buried here but sadly there were no ghosts available when we visited. The yellow fever graveyard is probably the most interesting bit, apart from that look out for the amount of people who chose to spend their afterlife buried in what appears to be roll top baths.

Interesting audio tour is recommended and easy to follow and an entertaining way to learn some of Memphis' great names.

Powerful stuff standing near the graves of over 1,000 Confederate dead.

We stopped in literally on our way out of town. The curator/manager was very helpful and gave us a tour of the office, showing off furniture and books that were up to 200 years old. The cemetery itself had many beautiful headstones and was worth the trip.

We've been to several cemeteries and enjoy the art of the headstones and history. Unfortunately no one was working so we could purchase an audio tour cd. Although no one was working, I was relieved that the restrooms were still open. Very nice driving tour with interesting plots and memorials. I have never seen the horseshoe shaped barrier partially surrounding the plot. Also an area where Asians plots were congregated, a lot of lettering on the markers. Definitely would visit again, this time making sure I can purchase an audio cd. Not much too take away from the visit (my fault), except the beauty of the area.
