Safe environment, and I like to feed the ducks once I got over the fear of them.

“Golf course”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2011

Audubon has recently renovated their greens. What was basic 1950 Bermuda grass is finally gone and word is that championship Bermuda was strewn. Within months this grass had aggressively covered the putting surface and I must say I was impressed in the quality of roll. No question that this upgrade is good for the course. But it is like" Wake UP Memphis". Audubon Park is the Crown Jewel of Memphis City Property that actually manages to lose a lot of cash each and every year...with a golf course and an indoor tennis facility, Audubon could break even with any common sense, but the local government has their hands in the till.
Wake UP Memphis, I will step in, secure all financing, build a quality team, redesign the golf course in places namely providing up to 7400 yards of championship golf, but with a quality driving range and 1st class practice area next to an upgraded clubhouse.
Wake UP Memphis, if you do nothing more to the golf course, then Audubon will continue to lose money......The only golf course in Memphis that turns any profit is Galloway.....funny isn't it.....that is the only city owned golf course that has been fully renovated.....Golfers want an aesthetic quality to their golf enjoyment nowadays, not a goat ranch with tiny ridiculous greens here and yonder......Audubon is the location where Memphis can construct a nationwide spectacle that ties in with the Botanical Gardens and the Audubon Society.....Wake UP Memphis..........Bill Allen

“Nice walk”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2009

There's a lovely winding walking path, but not much to see, other than the numerous birds, which is fitting.
