Owner description: The Pink Palace Museum is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the Southeast. You can walk through a replica of the first self-service grocery store in the country, Clarence Saunders' Piggly Wiggly. Explore the cultural and natural history of the Mid-South through exciting exhibits, dioramas, and audio-visuals. Trace Memphis' development from the time of Spanish explorers through the Civil War and the yellow fever epidemics. Learn from the award-winning medical exhibit how health care grew to be Memphis' largest industry.

The museum is fun and interactive, including a moving T-Rex (the kids we were with loved this). The IMAX auditorium is lovely. The price can be a bit steep if you add in the planetarium and IMAX and mansion, but I believe there are discounts on Tuesdays, and sometimes Travel Memphis (website) has discount coupons to download. All-in-all, a great day out.

Greatest Museum Ever!!!!! The employees were very helpful. I learned so much about history! All the fake humans looked so real!! Big ups to whoever made the museum.

I recently attended a wedding here and they did an amazing job. The museum itself was beautiful, but the staff and the event organizers did a great job. I would highly recommend this facility.

This was a nice museum. Enjoyed the Imax theatre. Thought the planetarium was boring. I actually took a short nap. My children were bored in the planetarium also. We enjoyed the museum. Had many different things to check out the store museum, historical dresses through the years I'd say check it out, but skip the planetarium (well, enless u need a nap). Spent around 3 hours there. They have different things going on throughout the year, so check the website before going.
