Tom Lee park is one of Memphis great parks. Overlooking the Mississippi river, it's a medium size park that's great for walks, bike riding, kite flying, having a picnic or enjoying the river.
The park is enjoyed by locals equally as tourist.
Parking is free.
The park is named after Tom Lee who rescued 32 people from the Norman when it sank. Tom couldn't swim, yet he made several trips to pull people from the river. This park named after him is one of the honors.
There is an update addition of a bronze sculpture of the rescue. The original obelisk disk is also still in the park.
Easy access to Riverside drive to the park except in the month of May. The park host several major events during May such as the Sunset symphony and Beale St Music Festival .
If you looking to spend a relaxing way to enjoy the river, Tom Lee Park is the best way to do so!

There is nothing much to this park other than a pleasant walk along the Mississippi where you can enjoy nice sunsets across the mighty river. Free car parking is available & the Riverfront Trolley takes you to the park.

Beale Street Music Festival, Memphis in May International Barbeque Contest, and the Sunset Symphony. Right on the Mississippi River in downtown Memphis. New statue of hero Tom Lee looks great.

A great location to walk along the river before/after going downtown. The Beale Street MusicFest is held here at the beginning of every May and it's always well attended.
