Stop by rum boogie, if only to have a cold beer and enjoy a smokin band and a great memphis blues bar. We had a great time, the band was awesome and people friendly.

My husband had collards, fried green tomatoes, meatloaf and I had the red beans and rice. Beans and rice not too spicy, served with smoked sausage. Good. Meatloaf was borderline, but tomatoes best he had ever had. Local blues band was a definite treat, as are the autographed lampshades throughout the room. Not good for large groups. Small 4 and 6 table sizes and small dining room would not handle large groups.

House band was very good- Played mostly blues.
The decorations are cool- there are signed dollar bills and signed gutars everywhere.
Tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was very good.
Drinks were good, but a little on the pricey side.

The food is good, but nothing to rave about. However, if you want to party, this place rocks. Cheaper mixed drinks than other places on Beale. Great music (the house band is awesome.) My wife and I went there twice during our 4 days in Memphis.

The service wasn't great at the rum boogie, although the waiters do seem to perk up a little when they get their tip..... but most importantly the food is great, i had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich which was so good that i went back the next day to get another one, very, very tasty indeed. The inside is pretty cool with guitars hanging up but we ate at an outside table. Could see myself being a regular if i ever lived there!
