We were looking for a place with vegetarian options after sampling many great ribs and fried chicken. Saw this place advertising "New Orleans Creole Soul Food and Vegetarian". Four of us. I loved my grilled catfish - great spices, and smothered okra. The citrus spinach was fine but not exciting. Others enjoyed shrimp and grits, seafood gumbo, hot wings, pork chops. The Bayou Roll appetizer, kind of like an egg roll, had addictive filling. Would go back just for that. Gator bites were lightly fried, I was surprised I liked them. Lots of vegetarian and other choices I wanted to try but unfortunately could only load the table for that one evening. We were very glad we found it, Dejavu had only been open a few weeks when we vacationed in Memphis early October and we were so lucky to have Marchelah Hogan as our server. He took excellent attentive care of us with big smiles all evening.
